This team focuses on thinking big and scaling fast globally, delivering end-to-end solutions that support a diverse customer base. Additionally, Mastercard Services is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. Leveraging expertise, data-driven insights, and execution, the team offers value-added services to drive customer success.
Role:
As the Director, Services Business Development - Digital Giants, you will lead Mastercard's engagement with some of the world's most influential digital platforms. Your mission is to define and execute a growth strategy that expands our Services portfolio across this dynamic segment, driving innovation and measurable impact. You will be accountable for building a strong pipeline and delivering revenue growth across the Digital Giants segment.
Key Responsibilities: • Shape the strategy for Digital Giants, aligning global priorities with local execution.• Meet assigned revenue targets, ensuring sustainable growth across the Digital Giants segment through effective business development and strategic account management.• Lead high-level conversations with senior executives at major technology and e-commerce companies, positioning Mastercard as a trusted partner for advanced services.• Design and deliver tailored solutions, leveraging our global network of consulting and product experts to address client challenges and unlock new opportunities across payments innovation and adjacent services. • Adopt the working style of Digital Giants: demonstrate the ability to communicate and operate in a pragmatic, concise, and structured manner, reflecting the standards of leading technology and e-commerce platforms. This includes crafting clear, comprehensive documents and presentations that are both succinct and impactful, ensuring alignment with the decision-making culture of these organizations.• Collaborate cross-functionally with delivery teams to ensure flawless implementation and identify follow-up growth opportunities.• Champion thought leadership, representing Mastercard at industry events and creating initiatives that strengthen our presence in the digital ecosystem.
Experiences & Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will bring a unique blend of strategic vision, commercial acumen, and adaptability to thrive in the fast-paced environment of global digital platforms. We are looking for someone who:• Holds an undergraduate degree; an MBA is preferred.• Extensive of experience in business development, consulting, or strategic roles within digital commerce, technology platforms, or payments ecosystems, with a strong understanding of partnership models.• Brings a solid understanding of payments ecosystems and emerging technologies, with the ability to translate these into value propositions for digital platforms.• Demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset, creativity, and a results-driven approach.• Possesses exceptional communication skills, with the ability to craft concise, structured, and impactful documents and presentations that resonate with the decision-making style of leading digital players.• Is comfortable operating in a pragmatic, data-driven, and fast-paced environment, adapting to the working methods and expectations of global technology ecosystems.• Can manage multiple priorities independently and deliver under tight deadlines.• Displays exceptional intellectual curiosity, with the ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new business models and emerging technologies, ensuring continuous growth and innovation.
