What We’re Looking For: 

A strategic and proactive Director of Security who will lead with confidence and vision to safeguard our property and create a secure, welcoming environment for guests and team members. You’ll be the driving force behind our safety programs, blending operational excellence with cutting-edge technology to deliver peace of mind. In this role, you’ll inspire and guide a dedicated security team, ensuring every interaction reflects Loews Hotels’ commitment to exceptional guest experiences.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Lead and motivate the Security team, managing daily assignments, schedules, and timecard approvals. 

  • Oversee staffing for the department, including interviewing and hiring decisions. 

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as Loews Hotels’ policies and safety standards. 

  • Deliver exceptional security services to guests and team members with professionalism and warmth. 

  • Direct and maintain continuous property rounds and inspections, including fire equipment surveys and safety checklists. 

  • Resolve, document, and track all security-related issues, partnering with Risk Management and HR as needed. 

  • Chair the property Safety Committee and lead monthly safety meetings. 

  • Develop and implement policies to protect all equipment, furnishings, and fixtures. 

  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records for all security activities. 

  • Respond to liability insurance claims and oversee workplace injury processes. 

  • Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

  

Your Experience Includes: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, hospitality management, or a related field or two years’ experience in security management, with a strong background in the hospitality industry and supervisory roles required.  

  • Proven ability to handle emergencies, conflicts, and safety incidents effectively and with composure required. 

  • Familiarity with local, state and federal safety regulations, as well as hotel safety regulations, as well as hotel safety protocols and best practices required.  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with guests, team members and law enforcement while fostering a culture of safety required.  

  • Completed courses or certifications in security management principles and practices preferred. 

  • Training in emergency response, conflict resolution, and safety procedures preferred. 

  • 5-10 years in security roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management position within the hospitality industry preferred. 

  • Experience managing security and training security teams, fostering collaboration and a strong safety culture preferred. 

  • Previous experience collaborating with law enforcement agencies preferred. 

  • Multilingual abilities to enhance communication with diverse guests preferred.
