Job Description:

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Director, Supply Chain Other, located in Raynham, MA, or West Chester, PA or Raritan, NJ. 

The Director, Supply Chain Other provides strategic and operational leadership for Supply Chain Finance activities supporting DePuy Synthes. This role partners closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, and Commercial leaders to drive financial performance, improve cost transparency, and enable datadriven decisionmaking across the endtoend supply chain. The role has a meaningful impact on margin improvement, working capital optimization, and longterm business sustainability while supporting a complex, global medical device organization. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead supply chain finance strategy, planning, and execution to support manufacturing, logistics, and distribution operations. 

  • Serve as a strategic finance partner to Supply Chain and Operations leadership, providing insights that inform business decisions and trade‑offs. 

  • Drive financial forecasting, budgeting, and long‑range planning for supply chain functions, including scenario and sensitivity analysis. 

  • Own cost management initiatives, including standard costing, variance analysis, productivity tracking, and margin improvement programs. 

  • Oversee working capital performance, including inventory optimization and cash flow improvement initiatives. 

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational and financial performance across the supply chain. 

  • Ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and governance aligned with Johnson & Johnson and DePuy Synthes policies. 

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration. 

  • Partner cross‑functionally to support transformation initiatives, systems enhancements, and process standardization efforts. 

 

Qualifications 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field (required). 

  • MBA or advanced degree (preferred). 

Experience and Skills: 

Required: 

  • 10-12 years of experience in finance, with demonstrated leadership in supply chain, operations finance, or manufacturing finance. 

  • Strong financial planning, forecasting, and analytical skills, including cost and margin analysis. 

  • Experience leading teams and developing finance talent. 

  • Deep understanding of financial controls, compliance, and governance in a regulated environment. 

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights. 

Preferred: 

  • Experience supporting global or regional supply chain organizations within medical devices, life sciences, or manufacturing. 

  • Demonstrated success driving productivity, cost transformation, or working capital initiatives. 

  • Experience with ERP and financial planning systems in a complex operating environment. 

  • Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and influence decision‑making in a matrixed organization. 

  • Change leadership experience supporting business or system transformations. 

Other: 

  • Language requirements: English (required). 

  • Travel: Up to 20%, primarily domestic with potential international travel. 

  • Certifications: CPA, CMA, or equivalent (preferred). 

  • Valid driver’s license if required for business travel.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes.
