Director of Sales and Field Operations
Location: External – East Coast
Position Type: Full-Time

Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales and Field Operations to oversee our regional performance and guide our Regional and Area Managers in achieving sales objectives and operational excellence. This role involves strategic planning, leadership, portfolio performance management and collaboration with various departments to drive growth and ensure outstanding customer service.


Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Regional Managers to enhance performance and productivity.
  • Establish performance goals and metrics for regions and area managers, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.

Sales Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate new markets and increase market share.
  • Analyze sales performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Operational Oversight:

  • Monitor and evaluate regional performance, ensuring adherence to company policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with area managers to resolve operational challenges and implement best practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, finance, and customer service teams to create synergies that enhance customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and communication between the field and corporate teams.

Training & Development:

  • Design and deliver training programs for area managers to enhance their sales skills, product knowledge, and operational capabilities.
  • Encourage continuous learning and development within the sales team.

 Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and operational efficiencies for senior management.
  • Utilize data analysis to inform strategic decisions and improve overall performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field; preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in sales management, preferably in the automotive finance or related industry, automotive floorplan experience.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving performance targets.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel – 75% travel – flying throughout the country

Compensation Range

  • $90,000 – $200,000 of total compensation per year.
  • The exact starting compensation will depend on a wide range of factors, including experience, skill set, education, credentials, and location.
