Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Director of Sales for Canada to lead our Canadian business across law enforcement, federal, provincial, and commercial security markets. This player-coach role combines direct selling responsibilities with leadership of a small, high-performing regional sales team.

The ideal candidate brings both a hands-on sales track record and the leadership skills to coach, develop, and scale our Canadian business. This individual will own revenue targets, pipeline health, customer relationships, and market development initiatives across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:Sales Leadership (Coach)
  • Lead and mentor a team of Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and Partner/Channel Managers across Canada.

  • Establish a disciplined sales operating rhythm – pipeline reviews, forecast accuracy, deal strategy, and customer engagement best practices.

  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Professional Services to drive regional growth and customer success.

  • Shape market strategy for Canada, including territory planning, partner development, and alignment with i2’s global objectives.

  • Report performance and forecasts to the VP Sales, Americas.

Direct Sales (Player)
  • Own and achieve an annual revenue target of $1M+ (license and professional services).

  • Build and maintain a robust 4× pipeline coverage, ensuring consistent deal flow and visibility.

  • Identify, qualify, and close opportunities with Canadian law enforcement, intelligence, and security agencies.

  • Lead or contribute to complex RFP responses, pricing strategy, and proposal development.

  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, procurement offices, and system integrators.

Market Development
  • Expand i2’s footprint with new logos across Canadian public safety, regulatory, and commercial markets.

  • Collaborate with UK and US leadership to bring i2 solutions into joint international opportunities.

  • Represent i2 at customer events, conferences, and industry forums across Canada.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of enterprise software sales experience; 5+ years in a leadership or player-coach role.

  • Proven success selling to Canadian law enforcement, public safety, or federal agencies.

  • Experience leading teams and managing full sales cycles (prospecting to close).

  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement and RFP processes.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and disciplined sales forecasting.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.

Performance Expectations (First 12 Months):
  • Achieve $2M revenue quota (Licenses + PS).

  • Build a 4× pipeline coverage by end of Q2.

  • Implement consistent CRM hygiene and forecasting cadence.

  • Lead, coach, and grow the Canadian sales team to exceed individual targets.
