Position Summary

Hotel Saint Vincent is one of New Orleans' premier luxury lifestyle hotels, on Magazine Street in the Lower Garden District. We are hiring a Director of Sales to create demand and grow group, leisure, banquet and partnership revenue, and to lead the Sales & Events team.

Reporting to the Hotel General Manager, this leader owns the accounts, the advisor relationships, the pipeline and the bookings. New business development is central to the role: most of the growth is expected to come from accounts the Director goes out and wins.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and own the annual sales plan with the Hotel General Manager, then deliver it.
  • Generate new business across group, leisure, banquet and partnership segments.
  • Build and deepen relationships with luxury travel advisors, consortia and agency partners.
  • Develop corporate, entertainment, wedding and social group accounts in and beyond the New Orleans market.
  • Partner with Revenue Management on pricing, segment mix and forecasting.
  • Maintain a disciplined, well-documented pipeline and a consistent weekly sales cadence.
  • Coach and develop the Sales & Events team against clear goals and KPIs.
  • Represent Hotel Saint Vincent at trade shows, client events and industry functions.
  • Work with Marketing and Food & Beverage on packages and programming that convert.

Qualifications

  • 8–10+ years of hotel sales experience, including 3–5 years leading luxury hotel sales.
  • Proven revenue results you can speak to in numbers — group, banquet and partnership growth.
  • Established luxury travel advisor and consortia relationships.
  • Strong communication skills and financial acumen; confident in forecast and budget conversations.
  • Experience hiring, coaching and holding a team accountable.
  • Disciplined pipeline hygiene and fluency with hotel sales and CRM systems.
  • New Orleans market knowledge is a plus.
  • Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and industry events as business needs require.

What Success Looks Like

  • A growing pipeline of qualified opportunities across group, leisure and banquet.
  • Group and banquet revenue up — new accounts and deeper share from existing ones.
  • A forecast the General Manager and Revenue Management can plan against.
  • A broader, more productive luxury advisor network.
  • A Sales & Events team working to clear targets and a visible weekly cadence.
