About the Strategic Account Department

The Strategic Account Department to which the DSC role is attached has as main purposes:

  • Lead Strategic Accounts with a potential TO of more than 100M€
  • Nominate, animate, support, train a community of Global Account Managers and Key Account Managers (GAM/KAM) Operational for our top 150 Customers in relation with the market expectations
  • Deploy an efficient DSOP team (Department of Sales Operations & Performance) to support GAM/KAM and Directors in all ALTEN Group to win panel selection, ensuring synergies across perimeters for business datas, and win CFTs
  • Clarify processes & tools (CRM, Account Management toolkit) to drive Global Customers development performance

Key Responsibilities of the position

As a part of the S.A department, the DSC will be responsible for:

Strategic Account Management

  • Defining, formalising and overseeing the roll-out of a commercial strategy for the customer he/she is in charge of (market analysis, challenges, competition, current resources, action plan, etc.)
  • Creating a roadmap for strategic issues with each relevant Business Unit in partnership with the Business Unit Director(s). Managing risks of losing market position.
  • Building and leading competitive analysis: strengths and weaknesses of our competitors to ensure the positioning of our offerings is as relevant as possible.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date reference document setting out the vision and strategic outlook for the ALTEN Group’s business positioning with the customer over the next three years.

Customer Partnership

  • Developing strategic relationships with customers C-Level and leaders – act as a lobbyist to make sure to be part of all new bids.
  • Monitoring and coordination of the VIP lobbying plan via SALESFORCE
  • Developing proactive measures in collaboration with the various internal stakeholders to position our full range of offerings

Business Development

  • Ensuring that Alten is involved and positioned in all the client’s key tenders
  • Driving revenue and growth by leveraging Alten’s comprehensive range of services, incorporating both work package and offshore approaches

Desired Location: Hartford CT, Greater Connecticut, or Boston MA

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Education: Bachelors in Engineering, Business, or related field required.  MBA preferred

Compensation:
Base Salary: Starting at $150,000+ (commensurate with experience)
Annual Performance Bonus: $80,000–$100,000

For highly qualified candidates with exceptional experience and a proven track record, we are prepared to discuss a compensation package beyond the posted range.
