Help Lead the Next Stage of Growth at Fieldpiece

Fieldpiece is a privately held, global leader in professional HVACR tools and test instruments. For more than 35 years, we've built our business around one goal: helping HVACR professionals do their jobs better. We're known for innovative products technicians rely on every day—and for a culture that values customers, accountability, collaboration, and getting results.

As we continue to grow, we're expanding our U.S. sales organization and adding new Director of Sales positions to lead key regions across the country.

This territory covers the Northeast territory including New York, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania and we anticipate about 60% travel.  While you will work remotely, you must live in the territory.

Why This Role?

This is an opportunity to take ownership of and build your new territory.  As Director of Sales, you'll lead a combination of Fieldpiece sales professionals and independent sales agency partners while working closely with our distributor network, contractors, and HVACR technicians. You'll be responsible for growing revenue and market share, strengthening our presence at the distributor branch level, developing your sales organization, and identifying new opportunities across the region.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being in the market - not managing it from behind a desk.

What You'll Do

  • Lead regional sales strategy and execution to drive revenue, market share, and product penetration.
  • Manage, coach, and develop Fieldpiece sales professionals and independent sales agency partners.
  • Build strong relationships with distributor leadership, branch teams, contractors, and HVACR technicians.
  • Expand product and SKU penetration throughout the distributor network.
  • Analyze sales performance, market conditions, and territory opportunities and take action to accelerate growth.
  • Establish clear expectations, performance measures, and accountability across the sales organization.
  • Stay close to customers and the field to understand competitive activity, market trends, and emerging opportunities.
  • Use your product and industry knowledge to educate customers, partners, and sales teams.
  • Maintain strong CRM discipline and visibility into pipeline, accounts, opportunities, and sales activity.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Customer Service, and other teams to support customers and regional growth.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally within HVACR, professional tools, test instruments, or a related industry.
  • Experience leading both direct salespeople and independent sales agency partners.
  • Strong experience selling through distributor networks and driving results at the branch level.
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue and market share across a multi-state territory.
  • Strong sales leadership, coaching, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to use sales data and market insights to identify opportunities and make sound business decisions.
  • A proactive, hands-on leadership style with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage sales activity, pipeline, and performance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
  • Ability to travel approximately 60% throughout the assigned territory.
  • Residence within the assigned territory is required.

Why Fieldpiece?

At Fieldpiece, you'll join a company with an established brand, highly regarded products, and significant opportunities for continued growth. These newly created leadership positions are part of our investment in expanding our sales organization and getting even closer to our customers and distributor partners.

You'll have the opportunity to lead people, shape regional strategy, spend meaningful time in the market, and directly influence Fieldpiece's growth in your territory.

If you're a sales leader who enjoys developing teams, building distributor partnerships, staying close to customers, and turning market opportunities into measurable results, we'd love to talk.
