This senior role reports to the CFO and is a key member of the FP&A team. The mission of our team is to enable strategic executive and Board-level as well as tactical decision making for the company through financial modeling, fact-based analyses and interpretation of key business and financial trends. We are the analytical backbone of the company and provide strategic insights in planning the future growth and strategy of the company from a financial point of view while serving as the interface between Finance and the rest of business.
This is a highly strategic role where the individual will primarily serve as the Finance leader and business partner for the Sales department (working closely with the CRO), supervise sales commissions and quota setting process, own deals desk process and own the demand forecasting and reporting for overall company billings and revenue while influencing the overall go-to-market strategy of the Company.

What You Will Be Doing
- Serve as the Financial leader and business partner to Sales leadership. Work closely with the CRO to design and optimize the financial performance of the organization, and support the overall go-to-market strategy
- Work with CRO to drive financial planning, forecasting, and reporting activities
- Regularly engage with Sales leaders to understand risks and opportunities against plans and forecasts. Understand key business drivers, SaaS metrics and business trends to provide insights on spend efficiency, including sales capacity planning
- Manage demand forecasting for Hardware products as well as ARR planning
- Manage sales commissions and deals desk processes including deal structuring and approvals
- Collaborate with the pricing team to provide economic and financial analysis to support pricing strategies
- Work closely with Sales Operations to forecast and report billings and revenue
- Assist with preparation of Board materials and management dashboards
- Continuously focus on automating and streamlining the FP&A processes
- Assist with updating and managing the Company’s long-term financial plan
- Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives across the Company
What We're Looking For
- A team leader with experience in both Hardware and SaaS products
- An advanced understanding of corporate financial planning, modeling, reporting and analysis
- Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated
- A high degree of analytical capability with the proven ability to identify business challenges, structure recommendations and provide insights to enable high-level strategic vision
- An ability to collaborate constructively with, and influence, business leaders and finance colleagues
- 10+ years finance experience at leading technology companies
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA, CPA, and CFA highly preferred
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong experience with Salesforce
- Experience with Adaptive Insights or similar planning tools is a plus
ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $147,500 to $271,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
