As part of our continued expansion, we are growing into Eastern Europe. In this role, you will lead Sales Engineering across Austria, Switzerland, and our emerging Eastern European markets, playing a key role in scaling the business and establishing our footprint in the region.
About the Role:
The Director of Sales Engineering is critical to the success of our Sales Engineering team and the broader business. The ideal candidate is a senior technology leader with broad and deep expertise across networking, security, infrastructure, SaaS, or governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) bringing extensive experience in practitioner, consultative, or pre-sales roles spanning Networking, Security, Server Infrastructure, Identity Management, and Cloud Services, and have a proven track record of setting strategy, leading high-performing teams, influencing executive stakeholders, and driving complex technical and organisational outcomes. This role is responsible for the ALPS and Eastern European region and can be based in Germany, Austria or Switzerland. Strong knowledge and experience across all whole of the ALPS and Eastern European region is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruit, hire, develop, and retain a high-performance Sales Engineering team to support our Sales business.
Build strong relationships and collaborate across Sales, Architects, Sales Ops, Marketing, Product Management, and R&D teams.
Engage with prospects and partners to enhance brand awareness and accelerate business closure.
Monitor, coach, and mentor Sales Engineers on objection handling, solution architecture, and scoping.
Serve as a district escalation point for technical sales campaigns, with deep knowledge of Arctic Wolf’s platform and business processes.
Represent Arctic Wolf publicly in webinars, tradeshows, and channel enablement sessions.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Exceptional ability to articulate the value of Arctic Wolf technology to technical and executive audiences.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail.
High emotional intelligence and ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
Experience in practitioner, consultative, or pre-sales roles in Networking, Security, Server Infrastructure, Identity Management, Cloud Services, or GRC.
Strong problem-solving, conflict management, organisational agility, and leadership skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
5+year in a front-line management role, leading a Sales Engineering or pre-sales team.
10+years in customer-facing roles, in pre-sales engineering or security consulting.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of direct quota-carrying pre-sales leadership experience.
Proven track record exceeding revenue goals in a leadership role.
Experience in Commercial or Enterprise business segments.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

The base salary range for this job family is 121,100 to 219,800 EUR annually. This range reflects the base pay the company reasonably expects to offer for this position, aligned to the broader job family base pay structure. Actual base pay may vary based on skills, experience, and location, including job family level. In addition to base pay, Arctic Wolf offers variable incentive compensation, new hire equity grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
