Job Summary

The APAC Sales Engineering Director leads the regional Sales Engineering team supporting Aeris’ IoT connectivity and security platforms. This role owns APAC technical strategy, supports strategic CSP and enterprise engagements, and serves as the executive technical escalation point for the region.

You’ll partner closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to drive revenue growth, scale next‑generation offerings (Watchtower, 5G SA, eSIM/SGP.32), and ensure consistent, high‑quality technical execution across APAC.

Location: Tokyo or Singapore preferred (flexible within APAC for the right candidate)

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the APAC Sales Engineering team
  • Define and execute regional technical strategy aligned to revenue goals
  • Support and accelerate strategic CSP and enterprise opportunities
  • Act as executive technical escalation for complex customer engagements
  • Partner with Sales leadership and CAMs on key deals and accounts
  • Drive consistent solution architecture and technical governance
  • Support adoption and growth of Watchtower and next‑gen connectivity services
  • Engage directly with customers through workshops, architecture reviews, and executive discussions
  • Align closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations to manage readiness and expectations
  • Improve operational maturity, enablement, and cross‑functional collaboration
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunications
  • Sales Engineering leadership experience in telecom, CSP, or IoT environments
  • Direct experience working with mobile network operators (MNOs/CSPs)
  • Strong knowledge of cellular networking and IoT connectivity (4G/LTE, 5G SA)
  • Proven executive‑level communication and customer engagement skills
  • Experience leading distributed, multi‑country teams
  • Strong cross‑functional leadership and escalation management experience
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience with IoT connectivity platforms (CMPs)
  • Knowledge of eSIM / SGP.32, APNs, VPNs, IP routing, BGP, OSS/BSS
  • Exposure to security, SASE/SSE, or observability solutions
  • Experience scaling technical enablement and governance models
  • Comfort using AI tools for enablement, content creation, or competitive analysis

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Telecommunications
  • Sales Engineering leadership experience in telecom, CSP, or IoT environments
  • Direct experience working with mobile network operators
  • Strong knowledge of cellular networking and IoT connectivity
  • Proven executive-level communication and customer engagement skills
