Director, Sales Development (Boston Seaport– Hybrid)About the Role
Nasuni is seeking a Director of Sales Development (Account Development) to lead, scale, and innovate our global Sales Development organization. This high-impact leadership role is responsible for building a world-class top-of-funnel engine, driving inbound and outbound pipeline generation, partnering deeply with Marketing, and developing the next generation of Nasuni sales talent.
Reporting directly to the CRO, you will combine strategic vision, operational excellence, and a love of developing people. This is both a player-coach leadership role, leading a Senior SDR Manager while also directly managing SDRs as the team grows.
You’ll work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Operations to build a modern, data-driven, and AI-enhanced SDR organization that reflects Nasuni’s growth trajectory as a Vista Equity backed data infrastructure SaaS leader.
Key Responsibilities1. Top-of-Funnel Strategy & Marketing PartnershipLead Nasuni’s top-of-funnel motion through tight alignment with Marketing and Demand Generation.
Redefine lead scoring, behavioral qualification, and funnel conversion metrics to improve lead quality and velocity.
Partner with Marketing to execute experimental campaigns that drive engagement and optimize inbound/outbound performance.
Diagnose funnel performance using data, and continuously refine processes for higher SDR productivity and pipeline yield.
Establish SLA and governance frameworks for inbound and outbound lead handling (e.g., “speed-to-lead” within minutes).
Implement and optimize SDR tech stack (Salesforce, Outreach, SalesNav, AI tools) for scale and accountability.
Ensure consistent execution, data hygiene, and operating rhythm across the global SDR organization.
Balance experimentation with process rigor to build, measure, and iterate quickly.
Create a performance and learning culture, energizing SDRs and developing them into future AEs and leaders.
Be present on the floor and in the details: shadow calls, review messaging, and celebrate small wins.
Expand the SDR career development framework and ensure clear paths for promotion and success.
Coach through curiosity—instill passion for learning, experimenting, and improving every day.
Embrace the changing world of top-of-funnel engagement: AI, ChatGPT search, digital buyer journeys, and automation.
Partner with Demand Gen and RevOps to test new tools, sequences, and AI-driven workflows.
Encourage an “experiment-first” mindset across the SDR org, learn fast, adapt fast.
Bring creative ideas and market insights to leadership, helping Nasuni stay ahead of new prospecting and engagement trends.
Serve as a key member of the Sales Leadership Team, a voice, not an order taker.
Influence the CRO, CMO, and GTM peers with data-driven insights and bold ideas.
Execute with operational excellence while bringing fresh strategic thinking to how Nasuni reaches buyers.
Help shape a culture of continuous improvement and scale readiness as Nasuni grows from a $1.2B to multi-billion-dollar valuation.
5–7 years of experience leading and scaling Sales Development or Inside Sales teams within high-growth B2B SaaS.
Proven success partnering with Marketing on lead scoring, demand generation, and funnel optimization.
Deep operational experience in building and enforcing SLAs, governance, and tech-stack adoption.
Strong analytical mindset, able to read metrics, identify bottlenecks, and coach to outcomes.
Passionate coach and mentor, develops SDRs into successful sellers and future leaders.
Familiarity with AI, automation, and digital prospecting tools that enhance SDR efficiency.
Skilled in Salesforce, Outreach, Sales Navigator, Gong, ZoomInfo, and other GTM systems.
Loves the Game: Deep passion for sales development and building early-career talent.
