The Director of Sales (DOS) leads a regional sales team by developing and implementing sales plans to increase the number of new patients referred to the practice, thereby driving increased revenue. The Director of Sales creates these plans in collaboration with the Regional Vice President of Operations. These plans and budgeted referral volumes will be influenced by regular review of Monthly Referral Review (MRR) data set (detailed below). The DOS is directly responsible for the management and growth of their Physician Liaison team members. This is accomplished by ensuring accountability to effective use of the CRM system, execution of tactical objectives outlined by DOS based on MRR data, and maximizing the exposure and visibility of our practice within the healthcare profession and the communities we serve. In addition, it is expected that the Director of Sales interface with healthcare providers, leaders, and key decision makers as needed to effectively drive referral growth in their assigned territory.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve established targets and company objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of physician liaisons, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with operational leadership to ensure alignment including regular report outs of progress to goals
  • Analyze sales data and KPIs to monitor team performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Oversee CRM and reporting tools to ensure accurate sales tracking and pipeline management.
  • Meet regularly with direct reports to discuss progress towards goals, initiatives, expectations, and professional development.
  • Field shadowing of team members to ensure effective sales tactics and behaviors.
  • Responsible for the hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training of physician liaisons to maintain a high-performance environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key physicians, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

  • Budget forecasting.
  • Required to be proficient in Windows based technologies (ex. Word, Excel) as well as Salesforce and other CRM sales technology tools.
  • Ability to travel frequently up to 60% (but not limited to) of the time.

Required Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or related field and/or
  • 4 years’ experience in healthcare sales
  • Must live in a key market of their assigned territory

Skills Required
