We have an amazing opportunity to join our leadership team here at Farnell. We are looking for inspirational sales leaders from who are looking for a challenging yet rewarding role to help drive forward our sale strategies as the business continues on the upward growth trajectory.
You will have responsibility of the entire sales strategy across the DACH market driving key customer engagements and interfacing with Avnet and senior leaders around customers and business direction. You will have full Margin ownership for the region; Accountable for all customer decisions and agreed terms.
This is ideal for someone who is a true leader and able to inspire teams and drive change, you will have the ability to manage the cultural differences and ways of working between DACH, continue the sales and customer growth in DACH, spend time with key customers and suppliers, develop a good working relationship with Avnet and in time take over more EMEA wide responsibilities as you continue to grow, develop and look to focus on larger projects and initiatives.

What you will be doing:
- Technical and disciplinary responsibility for DACH
- Development of sales strategies and preparation of forecasts and market analyses
- Setting sales targets and budgets and tracking their achievement
- Implementation of the global company strategy
- Defining local pricing strategies and regionalizing marketing with face-to-face events and online advertising
- Ensure overall market growth in the region of responsibility as well as market share growth with all key suppliers
- Drive and grow all areas of demand development, including strong project pipeline responsibilities
- Drive revenue and profitability in all areas of the supply chain
- Negotiating framework agreements with major customers and intensive collaboration with all strategic manufacturers/customers
What do we expect from you?
- Successfully completed engineering or business degree
- 10+ years of professional experience in development or technical sales in the semiconductor industry
- Several years of experience in leading and developing teams
- Negotiation skills, strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
- Experience in an international group would be a benefit
- Entrepreneurial thinking, decisiveness and ability to work independently
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel
