We are seeking a Director of Sales to lead outbound business development and revenue growth initiatives for our expanding portfolio of premium bathroom and kitchen fixtures. This is a hands-on, strategic leadership role focused exclusively on proactive new business acquisition and relationship building across key channels. The position is based in our Edison, NJ office and requires 4 days per week on-site (with flexibility for the remaining time). Inbound leads and sales support are fully managed by a dedicated team, allowing this Director to concentrate entirely on hunting new opportunities, expanding market share, and cultivating long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute aggressive outbound sales strategies to acquire new accounts in the bathroom, kitchen, plumbing, renovation, hardware, and construction sectors.
  • Prospect, qualify, and close deals with a diverse range of customers, including independent hardware stores, large national chains, renovation contractors, distributors, builders, and specialty retailers.
  • Leverage and grow an existing book of business in relevant industries (bathroom/kitchen fixtures, plumbing supplies, tools, or construction materials) to accelerate revenue.
  • Identify and penetrate new market segments, territories, and channels to drive significant top-line growth.
  • Build and maintain high-level relationships with key decision-makers, including buyers, owners, and procurement teams at target accounts.
  • Conduct in-person visits, trade show participation, and field-based presentations as needed to showcase products and secure specifications or placements.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to align sales efforts with company goals and customer needs.
  • Track sales pipeline, forecast accurately, report on performance metrics, and provide insights to senior leadership on market trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities.
  • Mentor and guide junior sales team members as the company scales.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 5 years in a senior sales leadership or director-level role.
  • Proven track record of selling bathroom fixtures, kitchen products, plumbing supplies, renovation materials, hardware, tools, or related construction/home improvement products into retail (big-box and independent), wholesale, distribution, or contractor channels.
  • Established book of business or strong network of contacts in the bathroom/kitchen/renovation/hardware space that can be immediately leveraged for new opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success in outbound business development, new account acquisition, and exceeding aggressive sales targets in a competitive B2B environment.
  • Experience working with or selling into major retailers, hardware stores, or renovation-focused customers is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the home improvement, plumbing, and renovation markets, including trends, buyer behaviors, and competitive dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Self-motivated hunter mentality with a results-oriented approach and comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed for client meetings, trade shows, and market development.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Compensation:
  • Base Salary: $120,000–$130,000 per year commensurate with experience.
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE) Realistic potential to reach $175,000+ through performance-based commissions, bonuses, and accelerators tied to new business wins and revenue growth.
