Job Description

The Global Sales Activation team within Visa’s Value-Added Services (VAS) unit improves sales efficiencies and powers pipeline and revenue growth through the delivery of simplified, relevant, and modular sales materials designed to make it easier to sell VAS solutions. In partnership with Go-to-Market leads in the region, the Director of Global Sales Activation will be responsible for overseeing the localization and activation of these materials in the Europe (EU) and Central Europe/Middle East/ Africa (CEMEA) regions, 

The Director will report to the Senior Director of Sales Activation and will interface directly with our stakeholders to understand the unique market needs, trends and challenges and will proactively work to ensure localized knowledge gets infused into the materials to deliver greater impact. The position requires a seasoned professional with a broad, well-rounded set of skills, an elevated level of energy, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. They will feel empowered to challenge the status quo, and be comfortable leveraging data paired with seller feedback to pivot quickly and enact changes where needed. And with a strong bias for action, our candidate will be required to exercise diplomatic duties, advocating for regional needs while balancing those of the business to execute these strategic sales motions. 

Success in this position will result in the wholesale enablement of our teams with access to world class materials to help us differentiate Visa with our diverse customer base. Our sales teams will be bursting with gratitude as this individual will drastically decrease their non-selling time and make it unanimously easier to sell our solutions! Our team is seeking an individual who actively embodies Visa’s leadership principles in being an empathetic leader, acting decisively, obsessing about clients, and leading by example.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

This role can be located in either Miami, Atlanta or Washington DC.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Proven experience (5+ years) creating content, preferably for a highly matrixed, world-class sales organization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communications skills, especially with remote teams working virtually
  • Outstanding people manager who leads by example, creating a sense of energy, ownership, and personal dedication to work
  • Capable of developing well-structured written communication and PowerPoint presentations
  • Proficiency using content management systems and analytic platforms
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and works with limited direction
  • A strategic problem solver, with an appetite for continuous learning and a keen eye for detail
  • Proven success linking business strategies to business outcomes
  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to adapt to continuously changing priorities and opportunities
  • Excels in fast paced, iterative environments, where flexibility and the ability to pivot direction in the name of constant progress is an expectation

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 153,600 to 235,900 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
