The Director of Safety provides leadership, direction, and supervision for the daily safety operations at Pine Canyon.

This role is responsible for overseeing safety compliance, supporting Safety Managers, onsite trades, subcontractors, foremen, workers, team members, and contractors. The Director is hands-on in day-to-day safety operations, including daily and nightly patrols, event safety forecasting, patrol scheduling, and regular compliance walkthroughs of all construction sites.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide leadership, direction, and supervision for all safety operations at Pine Canyon.

• Oversee and support Safety Managers, onsite trades, subcontractors, foremen, workers, team

members, and contractors.

• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Actively participate in daily and nightly safety patrols.

• Forecast safety needs and resource requirements for events and special activities.

• Develop, maintain, and manage the safety patrol schedule.

• Conduct weekly safety compliance site visits and walkthroughs of all construction sites.

• Remain directly involved in the day-to-day safety operations of Pine Canyon.

• Promote a strong safety culture and serve as a visible safety leader on site.

• Identify potential hazards, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure resolution.

REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

• Valid driver’s license (preferred).

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Experience

• 1+ years of customer service experience.

• 1+ years of security or safety-related experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to approximately 20 pounds during on-site inspections, event/meeting setups, or physical file handling.

· The associate will be required to work flexible hours periodically, including nights and weekends as needed

· The position involves a combination of office work and field movement across community common elements, amenities, and project sites. The associate is required to adhere to a specific dress code which features a professional but-casual style. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet office conditions to active construction/maintenance noise during field inspections.

Skills Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • At least 1 year of customer service experience
  • At least 1 year of security or safety-related experience
