Job Description

We are seeking a Director of Rooms to lead our Rooms team and ensure exceptional cleanliness, comfort, and service throughout the hotel. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is passionate about hospitality, team development, operational excellence, and creating memorable guest experiences.

The Director of Rooms will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction and exceptional service delivery throughout all aspects of the hotel's rooms division. This role will oversee the Front Office, Housekeeping, Concierge, and related departments, working closely with their team to create a seamless and unforgettable guest experience.

Director of Rooms– Essential Functions
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the Front Office, Housekeeping, Concierge, and related departments.

  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and employee growth.

  • Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to ensure staff members are well-informed and motivated.

  • Monitor and analyze room revenue performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.

  • Develop and implement efficient operational procedures to streamline guest check-in/out, housekeeping services, and other guest-related processes.

  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.

  • Maintain the highest standards of guest service and hospitality, ensuring all guests have a memorable and enjoyable stay.

  • Develop and implement service protocols and training programs to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Address guest feedback and complaints promptly, resolving issues to exceed guest expectations.

  • Promote cross-training and talent development to enhance team members' skills and career progression.

  • Collaborate with other department heads and senior management to ensure seamless coordination and communication across all hotel functions.

  • Ensure consistent adherence to brand standards and guidelines, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and room quality.

    Knowledge, Skills & Experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality within a luxury or upscale hotel environment

    • Previous experience managing Rooms operations, staffing, labor, and departmental performance

    • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities

    • Ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence

    • Proficiency with hotel systems, scheduling, and payroll management

    • Flexible schedule required, including weekends and holidays based on business needs

    • Fun, welcoming, and service-oriented personality is a must

    Compensation:

    $125,000 - $135,000 Annual Salary
