Position Summary

theWit Chicago, a Hilton Hotel, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Rooms to lead all aspects of Rooms Division operations, including Front Office, Housekeeping, and Guest Services. This leader is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences consistent with Hilton brand standards while driving operational excellence and financial performance in a high-volume, lifestyle-driven urban hotel.

This role is a key member of the Executive Committee and plays a critical part in shaping the hotel’s service culture, guest satisfaction outcomes, and overall Rooms Division strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Rooms Division Leadership

  • Oversee daily operations of Front Office, Housekeeping, and Guest Services departments
  • Ensure consistent execution of Hilton brand standards and theWit service culture
  • Lead operational alignment across Rooms Division to ensure seamless guest arrival, stay, and departure experiences
  • Coordinate closely with Food & Beverage, Sales, and Revenue Management teams to support hotel-wide goals

Guest Experience & Quality Assurance

  • Drive exceptional guest satisfaction scores (GSS/NPS) and service recovery performance
  • Champion a culture of hospitality excellence aligned with Hilton’s hospitality philosophy
  • Monitor guest feedback channels and implement proactive service improvements
  • Ensure VIP, group, and high-profile guest experiences are executed flawlessly

Financial & Operational Performance

  • Develop and manage Rooms Division budgets, labor forecasting, and expense controls
  • Partner with Revenue Management to optimize occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR performance
  • Analyze operational trends to identify efficiencies and revenue opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with Hilton accounting, audit, and operational reporting standards

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Rooms Division leaders and hourly team members
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and service excellence
  • Conduct performance reviews and support talent development and succession planning
  • Ensure effective communication through daily and weekly operational meetings

Systems, Compliance & Brand Standards

  • Maintain full compliance with Hilton operational standards, policies, and procedures
  • Oversee PMS integrity and front office systems accuracy
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure housekeeping and front desk quality standards are met
  • Ensure adherence to safety, security, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • 5–8+ years of progressive leadership experience in hotel Rooms Division operations
  • Prior experience as Director of Rooms, Director of Front Office, or Executive Housekeeper in a full-service or upscale/lifestyle hotel
  • Proven ability to lead large, multi-department teams in a high-volume urban property
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and labor costs
  • Experience working with hotel PMS and operational systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hilton or branded hospitality experience strongly preferred
  • Background in lifestyle, boutique, or urban full-service hotels
  • Experience driving top-tier guest satisfaction and loyalty metrics
  • Strong collaboration skills across multiple hotel disciplines
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment

Compensation and Benefits:
 

$100,000 to $108,000 per year
