The Director of Rooms is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all operational aspects of Rooms Division-related departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, Guest Relations, etc.) and to ensure that the various departments are run according to the standards set for the brand in general and the hotel specifically.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic & Financial Planning: Participate in the hotel's strategic plan development. Prepare forecasts and budgets, monitor revenues and departmental costs, and hold full profit and loss responsibility for the Rooms division.
- Revenue Optimization: Coordinate with Revenue Management and Sales to maximize room occupancy, rates, and profits. Collaborate to achieve the best possible Revenue Penetration Market Share. Drive upsell and experiences.
- Cost & Labor Control: Manage duty rosters for sub-departments to guarantee top quality while maximizing productivity and controlling labor costs within budget limits.
- Team Management & Development: Conduct interviews, delegate operational tasks, and design/deliver training programs. Execute performance reviews, manage workflows, and build career development plans for the Talent Pool and High Potentials.
- Communication & Engagement: Maintain high visibility with guests and staff. Organize regular departmental meetings, communicate management strategy, and drive overall guest and colleague engagement.
- Quality Assurance & Guest Experience: Maintain a minimum 90% score during mystery customer inspections. Conduct daily walk-throughs and room inspections (including PPM checks) to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and technical function. Drive the strategic development of the overall guest experience, actively uplifting and elevating the performance of the Concierge and Guest Service departments.
- Safety & Compliance: Collaborate with the Fire & Safety team to implement, evaluate, and communicate up-to-date procedures for all safety-relevant measures.
Desired Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
- Successfully completed vocational training or a degree in the hospitality industry.
- Hands-on operational leadership style with a mindset of leading by example.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a comparable position within luxury hospitality with a solid and strong proven operational front office or housekeeping experience.
- Self-starting, responsible, committed way of working with a high sense of ownership.
- Open and engaging personality with an excellent eye for detail.
- Experience preparing forecasts and budgeting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Friendliness and strong intercultural competence.
- Flawless knowledge of English (both spoken and written). Knowledge of Latvian and Russian is highly beneficial.
