Kuvare Services Bermuda Ltd. (“KSB”), a Bermuda-based service provider to affiliated and regulated Bermuda-domiciled long-term reinsurers, is seeking a Director, Reinsurance and International Markets to join its Reinsurance and International Markets Team.



This is an opportunity to play a leading role in evaluating and pricing strategic life, annuity, longevity, and mortality reinsurance transactions.

·        Manage the technical pricing of annuity, longevity, and mortality/protection reinsurance opportunities, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of actuarial analyses.

·       Conduct actuarial due diligence on prospective transactions, including model development, assumption setting, profitability analysis, capital assessment, and risk evaluation.

·       Ability to lead the reinsurance pricing process from end to end with minimal guidance.

·       Develop, maintain, and enhance pricing and financial projection models for flow and block reinsurance transactions,

primarily in Excel.

·       Perform sensitivity testing, scenario analysis, and product feature testing, and communicate findings to key stakeholders.

·       Conduct rate-setting and pricing reviews for existing flow reinsurance arrangements and blocks of multi-national business.

·   Analyze due diligence materials, including actuarial appraisals, confidential information memoranda,

experience studies, seriatim data, actuarial memoranda, financial statements, and other company reports.

·  Prepare pricing analyses, transaction summaries, proposals, Governance Approval Meeting materials, and presentations

for Management, Committee, and Board review.

·       Assess and monitor the profitability and performance of in-force transactions, identifying emerging risks and opportunities.

·       Enhance pricing processes through the development and automation of analytical tools and models.

·       Partner with Finance, Investments, Risk Management, and Legal teams to evaluate and execute new business opportunities.

·    Maintain awareness of industry developments and regulatory changes affecting life, annuity, longevity, and reinsurance pricing.

 

 Qualifications & Experience

·       Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)

·      Minimum 8 years of relevant actuarial experience in the re/insurance or pension consulting industry, including at least 3 years focused on pricing life insurance, annuity, or reinsurance business.

·       Demonstrated experience in actuarial modeling, transaction pricing, assumption development, profitability analysis, capital assessment, and reinsurance transaction due diligence.

·       Strong experience in actuarial modeling, transaction pricing, assumption development, profitability analysis, and capital assessment.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-quality Committee and Board papers.

·       Advanced Excel skills, including complex formula construction and structured workbook design.

·       Experience with IFRS 17 and actuarial modeling systems would be an asset.

·       Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively across actuarial, finance, investment, risk management, legal, and business development functions.
