SUMMARY

The Recruiting Director is responsible for holding Pinelake’s staffing plan.  This includes working in collaboration with and executing for the hiring managers.  General duties include collaborating on job descriptions, creating job postings, determining application platforms, spearheading candidate recruitment, initial applicant vetting, and hosting candidates throughout the process.  Also, the Director of Recruiting provides hiring recommendations to the hiring authority based on profile agreed to by the hiring manager and One Church leadership.

SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with the Associate Director of Operations on job descriptions and specifications with insight from One Church ministry leads and hiring managers.
  • Attracts suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, etc.
  • Creates a candidate flow at the top of the pipeline and seamless transition from application, attraction, and hand off to the Recruiting Coordinators.
  • Assesses applicants’ knowledge, skill, and experience to best suit open positions.
  • Develops processes that identify needed skills and evaluates candidates at each stage of the hiring process.
  • Completes each step of documentation for new hires that would get them ready for onboarding.
  • Establishes and oversees recruiting budget.
  • Maintains Pinelake’s recruiting platform (Breezy)
  • Promotes Pinelake’s reputation and attractiveness as a great employment opportunity. 
  • Acts as the primary recruiting agent for staff openings by utilizing networks, staffing sites, partnerships, and referral programs. 
  • Assists the School of Ministry in the recruiting of interns and residents.
  • Keeps a current listing of open staffing positions and reports to staff leadership for awareness and collaboration opportunities.
  • Keeps the hiring process at Pinelake current and communicates to all staff
  • Responsible for promotion, networking, and marketing of open positions.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • All other duties assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises Recruiting Coordinators and administrative assistant.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree is preferred 

5-7 years’ experience in recruiting

8-10 years’ experience in multisite church ministry

LANGUAGE SKILLS

The individual must be able to understand written or oral instructions; read, analyze and interpret documents, instructions manuals, and policies and procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with a diverse group of people, communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone, email and in person, demonstrating tact and diplomacy.

COMPUTER AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

The individual must have demonstrated skill in the use of Windows/MacOS to complete tasks (including word processing and spreadsheets) and the ability to use the internet for information retrieval. The individual must be able to apply basic mathematical concepts and operations to such tasks as accounting, budget management, and financial expense monitoring.

REASONING ABILITY 

The ability to simultaneously conceptualize and plan multiple tasks; project outcomes using different implementation strategies; and apply creative and innovative thinking to problem situations is required. The ability to work effectively and efficiently under stressful conditions to ensure deadlines are met is essential.

Skills Required

  • 5-7 years of recruiting experience
  • 8-10 years of multisite church ministry experience
