The Director of Public Safety Sales leads and coaches a team of Account Executives who are responsible for building and expanding relationships within the Public Safety vertical. This role is a strategic partner and advisor, coaching the team on how to position and grow data-driven solutions with law enforcement agencies, victim advocacy groups, and other government and non-government organizations.
This director will need to develop and maintain an understanding of how data solutions bring value to cross-functional government agencies, empowering the team to sell into this complex ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in maintaining cross-functional relationships and closing large-scale deals.
What you'll do:
- Lead and develop a team of Account Executives, providing strategic guidance and coaching on complex sales cycles within the Public Safety vertical.
- Establish and maintain a predictable sales cadence, ensuring accurate Salesforce hygiene, deal progression, and timely resolution of escalations.
- Partner with Government Relations and business development teams to create and execute strategies that drive sales and expand market presence.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and develop new product opportunities and go-to-market strategies.
- Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and deal updates to sales leadership.
- Act as a subject matter expert during contract negotiations, renewals, and RFP responses, ensuring alignment with client needs and business goals.
- Coach the team on best practices for selling into state and local government agencies, victim services, and related advocacy groups.
What experience you need:
- 7+ years of direct sales experience selling technology, data, or software solutions into Justice Intelligence, Law Enforcement, or Public Safety sectors.
- 3+ years of experience in a sales management or supervisory role leading direct quota-carrying sales teams
- Demonstrated experience with strategic sales motions involving government agencies and partnerships with Government Relations teams.
- Demonstrated history of closing large-scale, multi-year enterprise contracts with state and local government entities.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.

Equifax is required by law to include a good-faith salary range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; and other business and organizational needs. At Equifax, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $150,000 to $170,000. This position is also eligible for our incentive compensation program at approximately 40%. The application window is anticipated to close on November 5, 2026.
