Description:

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is looking for a highly detailed Director – Provider Compensation & Contracts to join our team. In this role, you will have overall accountability for the development, assessment and administration of all IHA provider compensation models and physician contracts. 

What You'll Do:

  • Directs provider compensation and contracts department functions.
  • Provides guidance and direction for other members of the Finance Team and IHA leadership.
  • Coordinates with VP-Provider Compensation and Contracts and executive leadership team on all aspects of existing and future programs.
  • Designs, develops and implements new compensation programs. 
  • Oversees physician workforce growth requests.

General Requirements:

  • EDUCATION: Master’s degree, with bachelor’s in accounting, Finance or other relevant degree.   
  • CREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: None
  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 5 or more years’ prior leadership experience.  Hands-on experience in provider compensation, contracts, physician relations, provider recruiting, finance or other relevant function within a healthcare industry with background in the development and administrations of variable compensation plans.

Skills Required

  • Master's degree (or Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or relevant field)
  • Minimum 5 years prior leadership experience
  • Hands-on experience in provider compensation, physician contracts, physician relations, provider recruiting, or related healthcare finance functions
  • Experience developing, assessing and administering variable physician/provider compensation plans
  • Thorough knowledge of finance and accounting principles, including general ledger and payroll reporting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and Windows-based computer systems; experience with payroll and accounting systems, email, intranet and e-learning platforms
  • Ability to analyze and model data, prepare reports (RVUs, productivity, overheads), and perform complex mathematical calculations
  • Experience managing staff: hiring, training, supervising, evaluating and performance management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present to groups and executive leadership
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and organizational policies
