Job Description

We’re looking for a Director of Program Management to lead our Program Management team in Miamisburg, OH and scale how we deliver products into mission-critical defense programs. You’ll build modern, compliant program operations—clear metrics, strong execution cadence, and decision-quality visibility—while coaching a high-performing team and delivering on schedule, cost, quality, and customer commitments in a highly regulated environment. This position reports to the Business Unit GM and leads a team of 8–12 direct reports.

What you’ll do

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Program Management team (hiring, onboarding, performance, and succession planning).
  • Scale program execution by standardizing playbooks, templates, tooling, and an operating cadence that teams actually use.
  • Create clarity and accountability across programs—prioritize, unblock teams, and drive rapid issue/risk escalation and closure.
  • Own end-to-end program outcomes across scope, schedule, cost, and delivery—translating customer commitments into executable plans.
  • Run program financials with real-time visibility: ETC/EAC forecasting, ASC 606 revenue recognition, billing/shipping, AR, and KPI-based performance reviews.
  • Lead non-catalog proposal execution (management/cost volumes, BOEs, IMS, risk register) and support negotiations and fact-finds.
  • Build trusted customer relationships and serve as an executive-level point of contact.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. Government contracting requirements, including FAR and TINA.
  • Drive a data-driven operating rhythm (PMRs, ETC/EAC reviews, leadership updates) with crisp status, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Continuously improve how we deliver—tighten planning, strengthen risk management, and modernize workflows (primarily waterfall) to increase speed and predictability.

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline and/or Business.
  • 6+ years of progressive program/project management experience in aerospace or defense, including people leadership.
  • Strong program finance skills (ETC/EAC forecasting, program P&L, risk/opportunity estimation, and ASC 606 revenue recognition) with comfort using metrics and dashboards to drive decisions.
  • Experience building scalable program management systems (tools, templates, governance, reporting) and driving adoption across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong planning discipline, including integrated master schedules, clear critical-path thinking, and waterfall execution.
  • Executive-level communication and customer presence—able to translate complex program data into clear decisions and actions.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance(s) (e.g., DOE / DoD Secret), as applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferred (MS and/or MBA)
  • PMP or similar program management certification.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement frameworks.
  • Familiarity with managing export-controlled/CUI programs.
  • Foundational knowledge of U.S. Government contracting (FAR/TINA).

What we offer

  • Competitive pay and comprehensive health benefits
  • 401(k) with company match and retirement plans
  • Paid time off and flexible work arrangements
  • Professional development and training opportunities
  • Employee wellness programs and assistance resources
  • A collaborative environment building mission-critical technology with real-world impact
