Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Engineering Program Management to lead our team of program managers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and program management, with a focus on designing and implementing processes, overseeing program managers, and driving key performance metrics. This role is critical to ensuring the successful execution of critical power delivery projects through effective team management and strategic process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Team Management:

    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing program management team.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
    • Ensure effective communication and coordination across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other departments.
  2. Program Planning and Execution:

    • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple power supply programs.
    • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
    • Ensure projects are aligned with business goals and customer requirements.
  3. Process Development and Improvement:

    • Establish, refine, and enforce program management processes and best practices.
    • Implement standardized methodologies for project tracking, reporting, and documentation.
    • Continuously evaluate and improve program management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Performance Metrics and KPI Management:

    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program success and team performance.
    • Use data-driven insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on program status, risks, and opportunities to senior management.
  5. Risk Management:

    • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with program execution.
    • Develop and implement contingency plans to address potential issues.
    • Proactively address any deviations from project plans and work to bring programs back on track.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of program management experience, ideally hardware focused 
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • Strong knowledge of program management methodologies and tools.
  • Great leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
