At Arctic Wolf, you won’t just watch the cybersecurity industry evolve – you'll help lead the change. Our global Pack is made up of people who thrive on solving hard problems, moving fast, and building technology that protects organizations around the world. We’re proud to be recognized by Forbes, CNBC, Fortune, CRN, Gartner Peer Insights and IDC MarketScape – but what matters most is the work behind it: delivering real outcomes for customers through award winning innovation like our Aurora Platform.
If you’re looking for meaningful work, smart teammates and the chance to make a real impact in a high-growth company that’s redefining security operations, Arctic Wolf is the right place for you!
Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Director of Product Management, XDR to be part of making this happen.
LOCATION: This role is open to Remote-United States, Remote-Canada, Hybrid-Eden Prairie-MN-USA, & Hybrid-Waterloo-ON-CAN
About the Role:
The Director of Product Management, XDR is accountable for defining, delivering, and scaling Arctic Wolf’s Extended Detection and Response (XDR) product strategy. This role owns the end‑to‑end product vision, roadmap, and execution for XDR capabilities that unify telemetry, detections, investigations, and response across endpoint, identity, network, cloud, SaaS, and third‑party ecosystems. This role is driving the plans and execution of transposing Arctic Wolf’s leading MDR offering into a productized XDR experience.
This leader operates at the intersection of platform, detections, integrations, and managed services, ensuring XDR delivers clear customer outcomes, competitive differentiation, and a durable foundation for both MDR‑led and product‑led use cases. The Director partners deeply with Engineering, Security Services, Data Platform, AI, Product Marketing, and GTM teams to translate strategy into shipped capabilities that scale operationally and commercially.
Key Objectives:
Define and execute a cohesive XDR product strategy aligned to Arctic Wolf’s mission to end cyber risk and its evolution from MDR to an open, outcome‑driven Security Operations platform.
Ensuring all aspects of the current MDR product have a path to productization to create a cohesive product offering.
Establish XDR as a platform capability, not a collection of point features—enabling extensibility, partner integrations, and hybrid delivery models.
Over time, build out a high‑performing team of Product Managers, operating with clarity, accountability, and strong execution discipline.
Responsibilities:
XDR Product Strategy & Roadmap
Own the XDR vision, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap, covering telemetry ingestion, detections, investigation workflows, response actions, reporting, ai differentiation, and proof‑of‑value reporting.
Define how XDR capabilities support both managed (MDR) and customer‑managed / hybrid consumption models.
Drive clear positioning of XDR relative to MDR, SIEM, EDR, and competitive alternatives.
Detections, Integrations, and Platform Alignment
Partner with platform, data, and IDR teams to ensure scalable, high‑quality detections across signals, with clear lifecycle management and cost awareness.
Own prioritization and outcomes for XDR integrations, ensuring breadth, depth, reliability, and operational readiness in partnership with Services and third‑party vendors.
Ensure XDR leverages shared platform capabilities (data pipelines, AI, case management, response frameworks) rather than duplicating functionality.
Customer Outcomes & Value Delivery
Translate complex security capabilities into intuitive investigator and analyst experiences that reduce cognitive load and improve response effectiveness.
Partnering with the MDR product leadership, define and operationalize consistent proof‑of‑value metrics (e.g., MTTD, MTTI, MTTR, detection efficacy, integration health) that clearly demonstrate customer impact.
Partner with Product Marketing and GTM teams to support launches, enablement, and competitive differentiation.
Execution & Cross‑Functional Leadership
Work closely with Engineering to deliver roadmaps predictably, balancing innovation with quality, scalability, and technical debt management.
Collaborate with Security Services to ensure XDR capabilities are operationally viable, supportable, and aligned with real SOC workflows.
Act as a visible product leader across the organization, aligning stakeholders and resolving tradeoffs decisively.
People Leadership & Product Excellence
Establish strong product management practices: discovery rigor, outcome‑based roadmapping, success metrics, and stakeholder communication.
Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Required
10+ years of experience in Product Management, with 4+ years leading product managers or product teams.
Deep experience in cybersecurity products, with direct exposure to XDR, MDR, EDR, SIEM, or adjacent security operations domains.
Proven ability to lead complex, platform‑oriented product areas with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
Strong strategic thinking paired with hands‑on execution discipline.
Preferred
Experience with integrations‑heavy platforms and third‑party ecosystems.
Familiarity with managed security services and SOC operations.
Experience operating in high‑growth, enterprise SaaS environments.
What Success Looks Like:
XDR is clearly understood—internally and externally—as a cohesive, differentiated product, not a loose bundle of features.
Customers see measurable improvements in detection quality, investigation speed, and response effectiveness.
Product teams execute predictably, with clear priorities, strong morale, and high trust across Engineering and Services.
Arctic Wolf’s XDR capabilities materially strengthen competitive win rates and expansion opportunities.
