LGT Wealth Management was formed around a clear and uncompromising vision – to bring global best practice in building institutional quality investment portfolios to Australian clients.
With a shared passion for building an uncompromised business – we created something new from the ground up. A chance to leave behind the things that weren’t working, while enhancing the things that were. Our authentic and personalised client-first commitment. Our entrepreneurial spirit. Our focus in best-in-class advice. And our intimate understanding of the Australian private wealth landscape.
In 2022 we became a part of the LGT Group, who shared our entrepreneurial spirit, long-term approach and private-ownership model. Today, with the global expertise, stability, and capability of LGT behind us, we can work without being reliant on markets or margins, with a singular focus on giving our clients the advice and deep expertise they need for generations to come.
As Director, Product Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of a strategically important product suite—particularly mortgages—by partnering closely with front office advisers and working directly with high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients.
You’ll act as both a trusted product expert and a commercial enabler—helping advisers position sophisticated solutions, supporting client conversations, and ensuring all outcomes are aligned with risk and compliance frameworks.
This role is also the key face of mortgage solutions in Melbourne, with a strong mandate to build, grow and scale this offering as part of LGT’s broader growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Drive growth and distribution of the product suite across mortgages, Lombard, discretionary and cash solutions
Partner closely with Investment Advisers to position product solutions for HNW/UHNW clients
Attend client meetings as a subject matter expert, supporting complex and high-value opportunities
Actively support and enable advisers through training, coaching and ongoing product education
Lead product advocacy within the Front Office to increase adoption and asset flows
Ensure all product usage aligns with regulatory, compliance and credit frameworks
Support mortgage origination by working closely with Credit Advisors once opportunities are identified
Contribute to policy, product development and continuous improvement initiatives
Build strong internal relationships across product, risk, compliance and advisory teams
What the role looks like in practice:
Daily: Engaging with advisers, supporting client opportunities, providing technical guidance
Weekly: Attending client meetings, running training sessions, progressing deal pipelines
Monthly: Driving product initiatives, contributing to strategy, liaising with credit and risk teams
About You
You are a commercially minded product specialist with a strong sales orientation and deep technical expertise in lending—particularly within a private banking or HNW/UHNW environment.
Key requirements:
Proven experience in mortgage lending within private banking or wealth management (essential)
Strong track record of driving product growth and supporting distribution initiatives
Confident in client-facing situations, including pitching and influencing senior stakeholders
Deep understanding of credit, lending structures and regulatory requirements
Ability to balance commercial outcomes with risk and compliance considerations
Highly collaborative, with the ability to build trusted relationships across front office teams
A proactive, self-driven approach with strong problem-solving capability
You’re equally comfortable in the detail (credit structures, policy, compliance) and in front of clients—translating complexity into clear, compelling solutions.
Why You’ll Love This Role
High visibility & impact: A critical role in delivering LGT’s growth strategy, with direct influence on revenue and product expansion
Client exposure: Work directly with HNW and UHNW clients on sophisticated, high-value opportunities
Commercial ownership: A true blend of product expertise and sales enablement—not just advisory, but growth-focused
