About Tekmetric

Tekmetric is the all-in-one, cloud-based platform helping auto repair shops run smarter, grow faster, and serve customers better.
Built by a shop owner and shaped by the needs of the industry, Tekmetric brings together innovation, real-world experience, and a thriving community to help shops thrive - not just survive. From running a shop, to securing payments to engaging customers, our platform simplifies operations so shop owners can focus on what really matters: delivering exceptional service, earning trust, and growing sustainably.

Officially founded in Houston in 2017, Tekmetric has grown from a single shop’s vision to the industry’s leading solution - all by staying true to our values of transparency, integrity, innovation, and a service-first mindset.
But we’re not just building software. We’re building a movement. We’re empowering repair shops to rise above the daily grind, create meaningful connections with their customers, and lead the industry forward - one interaction at a time.

Come build with us. Join the journey. Shape the future of auto repair.

Working the Tekmetric Way

At Tekmetric, we’re building a culture where winning matters - not for ego, but because when our customers win, we win together.

We move fast, stay curious, and take full ownership of our results — no excuses, no finger-pointing. If you thrive in ambiguity, take initiative, and view honest feedback as fuel for growth, you’ll feel right at home here.

We’re direct but respectful, ambitious yet grounded, and collaborative at every level. Everyone leads through impact and is encouraged to speak up, share ideas, and challenge assumptions (even your manager’s). This is a place for builders, not bystanders.

Success here takes focus, follow-through, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves — but if you’re driven by meaningful work and real results, it’s deeply rewarding. You’ll join a team that cares about the work, supports one another, and takes smart risks to achieve bold goals. Be yourself, stay mission-focused, and you’ll thrive. If that energizes you, we can’t wait to meet you.

At Tekmetric, great work happens anywhere, but great teams are built through intentional connection. We offer hybrid and remote work models based on your proximity to our office hubs. Because we value in-person collaboration, travel is an expected part of every role. We come together several times a year for team and company-wide offsites to align on goals and strengthen relationships. Attendance at these events is expected and fully supported.

What You’ll Do

The Director of Product Operations will serve as a strategic leader and force multiplier for the Product organization at Tekmetric. This role is responsible for defining and scaling the operating system that powers product decision-making, ensuring alignment between product strategy and business outcomes, and enabling teams to execute with clarity, speed, and impact.

Responsibilities:

Product Strategy, Insights & Business Impact
  • Own the end-to-end product insights function, establishing a clear, company-wide understanding of product performance, customer behavior, and growth levers.
  • Synthesize portfolio level data into executive-level insights that directly influence product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and company OKRs.
  • Partner with Product, GTM, Finance, and Executive Leadership to connect product investments to measurable business outcomes (e.g., revenue growth, retention, expansion, unit economics).
  • Lead the development of executive-ready narratives and materials for board meetings, strategic planning, and investor communications.

Product Operating Model & Enablement

  • Define and continuously evolve Tekmetric’s product operating model, including planning cadences, OKRs, roadmap processes, and cross-functional alignment mechanisms.
  • Build scalable systems, frameworks, and rituals that enable Product Managers and cross-functional teams to operate effectively and autonomously.
  • Champion data democratization by equipping teams with intuitive tools, dashboards, and training to self-serve insights and make informed decisions.
  • Drive organizational clarity by standardizing how product performance is measured, communicated, and acted upon.

AI Transformation of the PDLC

  • Build a strategy for opportunities to leverage AI across the entire PDLC, including discovery, prioritization, development, and post-launch analysis
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to embed AI into:
    • Customer insight generation (e.g., synthesizing feedback, identifying patterns)
    • Roadmapping and prioritization (e.g., opportunity sizing, signal detection)
    • Product development workflows (e.g., PRDs, specs, QA, experimentation)
    • Performance analysis (e.g., automated insights, anomaly detection)
  • Evaluate and deploy AI-powered tools that increase team leverage and reduce manual overhead
  • Continuously assess emerging AI capabilities and translate them into practical, high-impact applications for the product organization

Data Strategy & Infrastructure Leadership

  • Own the vision and roadmap for the product analytics ecosystem, ensuring it scales with the business and supports evolving product and company needs.
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Data leadership to establish best-in-class practices for instrumentation, data modeling, governance, and taxonomy.
  • Ensure the integrity, accessibility, and consistency of product data across the organization.
  • Oversee the development of core metrics, self-service data models, and reporting infrastructure that serve both tactical and strategic use cases.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence

  • Act as a key strategic partner to Product, Engineering, Design, and GTM leaders, driving alignment across priorities and initiatives.
  • Identify and remove operational bottlenecks that hinder product velocity and impact.
Build and lead a high-performing Product Operations function over time, setting a vision for team growth and capability development.
Influence without authority, driving adoption of best practices across a diverse set of stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

  • 8–12+ years of experience across Product Operations, Product Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Product Management, or related fields, with increasing scope and leadership responsibility.
  • Proven track record of defining and scaling product operating models and analytics ecosystems in high-growth SaaS or platform environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and shape product and business strategy through data-driven insights.
  • Deep expertise in product analytics, including event instrumentation, data modeling, KPI development, and experimentation frameworks.
  • Strong tools & data fluency (experience with tools such as Looker, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Snowflake, or similar).
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives that drive measurable business impact.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Strategic mindset paired with operational rigor—able to set vision while also ensuring disciplined execution.
  • Experience building, mentoring, or leading teams is strongly preferred.
