Summary Generated by Built In

Leads Product Operations strategy and execution, overseeing operating frameworks, portfolio tracking and reporting, product information systems, AI enablement, cross-functional alignment, and a team of product delivery managers. Drives consistent product execution, governance, tooling optimization, stakeholder reporting, and operational improvements across the product organization.

What You Will Do:

Operating Model Execution

  • Own execution of the Product Operating Model across the Product organization, ensuring consistent adoption of frameworks and ways of working at the team level.
  • Design and maintain the frameworks that govern how product development work is planned, tracked, and reported across the organization.
  • Connect product and engineering rhythms, establishing the cross functional operating cadence that keeps both functions aligned on priorities, progress, and blockers, in line with business priorities.
  • Identify and resolve operational friction points that slow delivery or create inconsistency across teams.

Product Portfolio Tracking & Reporting

  • Own Product Portfolio Tracking & Reporting, defining how the organization tracks and reports on roadmap status across Product at Bloomberg Industry Group.
  • Oversee the process for executive and cross functional reporting on product development status, ensuring stakeholders have accurate and timely visibility.
  • Partner with product leadership and the Strategy and Operations team to ensure portfolio reporting reflects current priorities and investment decisions.

Product Information and Tooling

  • Own the strategy and execution for consolidating product strategies, roadmaps, and execution data from disparate sources into a single system of record.
  • Implement and optimize the tools and integrations required to build this consolidated system, with a focus on AI enabled solutions that reduce manual effort and improve data quality.
  • Define the standards and governance that ensure data quality, adoption, and ongoing maintenance of the product information system across teams.

AI Enablement

  • Own the AI enablement strategy for the product development lifecycle, identifying where AI and automation can eliminate manual bottlenecks, improve data quality, and accelerate operational workflows.
  • Lead the evaluation and adoption of AI enabled tooling that supports product planning, execution tracking, and reporting, ensuring implementations deliver measurable operational improvement.
  • Partner with Engineering, Data, and Technology stakeholders to design the integrations required to support an AI enabled product operations model.

Cross Functional Alignment and Reporting

  • Partner with Engineering, Product, Data, and other cross functional stakeholders to track roadmap progress and surface risks and dependencies to the right decision makers.
  • Influence senior stakeholders across functions to adopt consistent operating practices and contribute to the shared data infrastructure required to support consolidated product reporting.
  • Communicate operational status, risks, and recommendations to executive and cross functional audiences with clarity and precision.

People and Talent Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of product delivery managers, setting clear expectations and building the capability to partner effectively across product and engineering functions.
  • Drive hiring, performance management, and professional development for the product delivery team.
  • Foster a team culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement aligned with the Product organization's behavioral standards.

You need to have:

  • 10 or more years of relevant experience in product operations, product delivery, or a related function, preferably with experience working closely with software engineering teams and across the full product life cycle.
  • 7 or more years of supervisory or team leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to lead and develop others.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement operational frameworks that improve the consistency and efficiency of product development across organizations with multiple teams or products.
  • Experience building or consolidating product planning, tracking, or reporting systems, with the judgment to evaluate and select tools that fit the organization's needs.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing an AI or automation enablement strategy in an operational context, including tool evaluation, adoption planning, and impact measurement.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and align cross functional teams around shared operating practices and data standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to surface insights, communicate status, and support executive decision making.
  • Experience working in collaborative, cross functional environments where alignment must be built across functions rather than directed from above.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate operational complexity into clear narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an operational leader who builds systems and frameworks that allow teams to do their best work: someone equally comfortable developing strategy from ambiguity and driving adoption across a complex, multi-business unit organization.

Compensation Range:

Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process. Salary determination will be determined based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, demonstrated skills related to the requirements of the role, education, certifications, and geographic location.
