  • Role – Director – Classic and SP Product Management

    Job Overview:

    Finastra’s Payments BU is strategic enterprise business unit which serves global, regional, and mid-tier banks for back-office mission critical payments processing. Seeking an experienced Director of Product Management to lead the development and management of an enterprise payment hub with a focus on supporting customers using legacy software versions. The role involves managing a team of product owners and junior product managers, overseeing the product roadmap for regulatory changes, and maximizing revenue from the existing code base.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Roadmap Management:
    • Develop and maintain a regulatory roadmap in collaboration with the CTO/COO/Customers, that addresses regulatory, and customer needs.
    • Technology Roadmap Alignment:
      • Ensure that everyone, from engineers to stakeholders, is on the same page regarding product priorities and timelines.
      • Regularly update and revise the product roadmap to reflect changes in the product strategy, vision, or market conditions.
      • Evangelization of strategy and technical roadmap with customers/prospects.
  • Commercial Product Management:
    • Ensure the old code base is optimized for revenue generation.
    • Pricing, pre-sales support for any deals with customers on legacy code bases.
    • Maintain and manage technical stack for each customer/version for End of Life. Propose revenue opportunities in conjunction with CTO / Engineering teams for technical stack refresh for customers.
  • Customer Migration:
    • Participate in process to evaluate migration of customers from legacy version to latest version of the software.
    • Participate in gap analysis, pre-sales for upgrade/migration opportunities.
    • Maintain per customer strategy for migration to latest version of the software.
  • Engineering Capacity Allocation and Optimization:
    • Manage overall product capacity of investments.
    • Drive engineering teams for higher efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Customer Evangelization:
    • Engage with customers to showcase product capabilities.
    • Negotiate with customers on product approach and functional solutions to regulatory problems.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in product management, preferably in payments or financial services. Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with enterprise payment systems and infrastructure.
  • Experience working with legacy systems and managing technical debt.
  • Ability to drive revenue growth through product enhancements.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory standards in financial services.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements impacting payment systems.
  • Experience managing products with legacy or older code bases.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
