Position Description: 

We are seeking an experienced Director of Product Management to lead the team that drives our product vision both for PAR POS. You will define products vision, strategy, and roadmap, with data driven decision making and customer-oriented focus. You are a thought leader, pioneer and are a passionate individual who loves working in a dynamic, ambiguous and fast paced environment in which managing multiple projects and priorities is the norm. You will be the senior leader of your team, owning a set of highly visible product and business goals. To be successful, you will bring strong business judgement, a track record of developing and implementing new ideas and in managing product teams.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience & Leadership:

  • 8+ years of data-driven product management experience, including partnering closely with software development and cross-functional teams.
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams of Product Managers and Product Owners, with a proven ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.
  • Experience building inclusive teams and fostering a collaborative, respectful, and innovative workplace culture.
  • Track record of delivering results using an agile development process grounded in metrics and user data.

Restaurant Technology Expertise:

  • 5+ years of experience working with restaurant technology, including partners and vendors in the restaurant ecosystem.
  • Excellent understanding of the fast-moving, multi-dimensional restaurant technology commerce landscape (a plus).

Technical Skills & Vision:

  • Demonstrated experience in defining, driving, shipping, and scaling cloud-based and API solutions.
  • Solid technical understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and modern cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure), with the ability to collaborate effectively with development teams.
  • Experience building a compelling vision and working across diverse stakeholder groups to deliver against this vision.

 Strategic & Operational Excellence:

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences.
  • Strong experience using analytics tools and KPIs to measure success and drive product decisions.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, data-driven, and entrepreneurial environment


Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning:

  • Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the PAR products, ensuring alignment with PAR's business goals and customer needs.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog to deliver measurable business value and ensure consistent alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of Business Analysts and Product Managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer focus.
  • Drive investment, prioritization, and trade-off discussions to allocate resources effectively and maximize impact across product initiatives.
  • Establish and track key product and business metrics to drive continuous improvement, inform decision-making, and better understand customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success) to ensure alignment, seamless execution, and successful product launches.
  • Engage directly with customers and industry stakeholders to gather insights, validate strategies, and identify opportunities for differentiation in the restaurant technology space.
  • Present product strategy and outcomes effectively to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and customers.
  • Champion product-led growth strategies, leveraging data, experimentation, and customer feedback to drive user adoption, engagement, and satisfaction.


Interview Process:

  • Interview #1: Phone Screen with Talent Acquisition Team
  • Interview #2: Video interview with the Hiring Manager (via MS Teams)
  • Interview #3: Video interview with the Team (via MS Teams)

Compensation:

The base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $190,000 USD per year commensurate with work location, experience, skills, certifications, education, and prior accomplishments. The position may be eligible for additional compensation, including a bonus, commission and/or equity, as applicable.
