Position Summary

Directs a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life. Functions as a central resource with design, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing and distribution as the product(s) move through their lifecycle. Directs those involved in the design, modification and evaluation of all phases of a specific product or group of products. Formulates and executes long-term plans for cost/profit control. Promotes use of new technologies and industry-leading trends. Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. If employee’s focus is primarily overseeing marketing activities such as product marketing, product positioning, and market penetration, match to Product Marketing focus. Employees matched to this job have responsibility for overall product(s) and people management.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Director to join our dynamic product team. The Product Director role is a high-profile position within the company. This role is not just about managing a product; it’s about defining and shaping the future of the products at the heart of our business, ensuring they scale and meet the complex needs of our two-sided customer network. You will work at the intersection of technology, design, and business strategy, ensuring our product offerings meet the highest standards of user experience and competitiveness in the market whilst also creating a seamless self-service experience that reduces friction and simplifies business processes for all our two-sided network customers.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to build product strategies, generate, gather and validate feature requests, turn business needs into user-stories and technical requirements, and lead and coordinate cross-functional team sprints to ensure the intended product outcomes are achieved.

You should also be proficient with the typical product management stack, including JIRA, Miro, Monday.com, or similar tools to manage and track project progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy: Develop and articulate the vision and strategy for our products, aligning with company goals and market needs.

  • Planning: Plan, build and prioritize product roadmaps that detail product and feature releases and timelines.

  • Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, coordinating with engineering, design, marketing, and commercial to achieve product objectives.

  • Research: Conduct customer and market research to inform product strategy and feature development ensuring products address customer needs and meet user experience and design standards.

  • Lifecycle Management: Manage the product lifecycle from conception through development, launch, and beyond into the customer lifecycle, making key decisions on iteration and scaling.

  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders at all levels, gathering feedback and building consensus around the product vision.

  • Product Performance: Oversee go-to-market strategies, ensuring successful product launches and leverage data to analyse product performance, inform decisions and drive continuous innovation.

  • Financial Management: Manage product budget and resources, ensuring efficient allocation to meet goals.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and oversee product security measures.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 10+ years’ experience with a proven track record of successful digital product leadership and outcomes achievement.

  • Strong understanding of digital product development processes and lifecycle.

  • Experience in creating and implementing product strategies that align with the company’s vision and goals.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and cross-functional team management skills.

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical ability and a data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

  • Deep understanding of market research, customer feedback, and competitive analysis.

  • Experience with budget management and resource allocation.

  • Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving industry, staying ahead of market trends and regulatory changes.

  • Proficient in standard product management software and tools.
