Company Overview

ServiceCore and Docket are rapidly-growing field-service Software as a Service platforms serving the portable sanitation and dumpster industries. Named the #80 fastest-growing software company in America by Inc. 5,000, we’re redefining how our customers manage their businesses. Our software helps hardworking business owners save time, stay organized, and get paid faster by streamlining job management, route optimization, inventory tracking, and billing automation.  Our customers work hard, and so do we—giving them tools to get more done with less stress.

We live by our core values of Love Our Customers, Be Real, Give a Shit, Deliver Results and of course Keep it Fun. ServiceCore provides hard-working individuals the opportunity to work and grow within an agile, fast-paced start-up environment. We are proud of our accomplishments and take our jobs seriously while not taking ourselves too seriously.   We believe in growing together, celebrating successes, and empowering each team member to make a real impact.

Role Overview

ServiceCore is seeking an experienced, strategic Director of Product Management to lead our ServiceCore product management function. This is a people management role for someone who wants to build and develop exceptional PMs, own product strategy for the ServiceCore portfolio, and be directly accountable for the capability of their team.

You will report to the VP of Product and lead a team of Product Managers owning hiring, performance, and culture for the function. You'll set the strategy bar across our product areas, partner with engineering and company leadership on product investment priorities, and represent product in leadership conversations. Like every PM at ServiceCore, you'll operate in an AI-first SDLC and be expected to embed that standard across the team, not just model it yourself.

This role collaborates regularly and closely across software engineering, the wider product organization, company leadership, support, implementation, marketing, sales, and end-customers and users.

We value hard work, individual contributions, and can offer you the experience of working with a hyper-growth company, the ability to influence product decisions, and open access to company leaders.

Role and Responsibilities

Strategy & Vision

  • Set 12-month product strategy across the ServiceCore product areas, grounded in customer evidence, aligned to company OKRs, and defensible in leadership conversations
  • Translate business goals into product investment priorities; evaluate build vs. buy vs. partner decisions
  • Operate effectively in strategic ambiguity, translating unclear business goals into product investment decisions with incomplete information
  • Define how AI is used in strategic planning across the team: what it informs, what requires human judgment, and how the team stays ahead of AI-driven market shifts
  • Identify market shifts before they become obvious and help shape the company's positioning, partnership strategy, and product investment thesis

People Leadership & Team Development

  • People manager for ServiceCore's Product Managers. Own hiring, performance, compensation input, and team structure as it grows
  • Build and develop a high-performing PM team; hold the bar on what “great” looks like at ServiceCore and raise it over time
  • Embed AI fluency into the hiring bar, onboarding, and performance criteria for the team
  • Create a culture where customer obsession, ownership, and AI fluency are the norm, not the exception
  • Coach PMs at every level: help the team grow into more senior scope and ensure the team as a whole is getting better every quarter

Execution & Impact

  • Review cycle time and discovery velocity across the team; remove blockers to flow and hold the team accountable to delivery standards
  • Own prioritization across product areas — set the framework the team uses for tradeoffs, resolve escalations, and align sequencing with company strategy and budget cycles
  • Build and own the team's discovery practice: cadence, tooling, and standards, ensuring discovery shapes investment decisions, not just feature lists
  • Own the team's relationship with data infrastructure and reporting, ensuring leadership has accurate, outcome-based metrics rather than vanity metrics

Go-to-Market Partnership

  • Own the product go-to-market relationship across Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support. Set GTM standards and launch cadence, and ensure product and GTM partners are aligned before anything ships
  • Partner with the CEO, CTO, Sales, and Marketing leadership on strategic priorities; represent product in leadership contexts and resolve cross-functional tensions early
  • Shape how product capabilities are positioned in market; ensure messaging accuracy and launch quality are consistent

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with at least 3–5 years in a people management role leading other PMs
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, design, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Strong preference given to candidates with a B2B SaaS background; experience with mobile applications, operational workflows, inventory management, or logistics is a plus
  • Proven track record of building and developing high-performing PM teams
  • Demonstrated ability to set and execute product strategy with measurable impact on business outcomes
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in a product workflow (e.g., Gong call summaries, Claude, or similar), with the judgment to know when to override the output and the ability to embed that fluency across a team
  • Strong technical fluency; comfortable partnering closely with engineering leadership on solution direction, architecture decisions, and delivery health without trying to own them
  • Deep experience with Kanban-based delivery; understands WIP limits, cycle time, and pull-based prioritization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; equally comfortable writing a team-wide product update and presenting strategy to the leadership team
  • Experience working in Confluence, Jira, or similar tools for requirements and team management

Work Environment

  • Casual, open-office environment
  • Tuesdays and Wednesday in office for local employees (free parking!)
  • Fully stocked kitchen with fresh food and coffee at our Denver HQ
  • Hybrid and fully-remote work
  • Regular company events / outings

Salary & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $200K - $225K (Dependent on Experience)
  • 14 Company Holidays in addition to Open PTO
  • Healthcare, dental and vision insurance with generous employer contributions
  • 401(k) w/ match
  • Regular lunches and a fully-stocked kitchen (if in Denver)
  • Bi-weekly Grubhub lunch  stipend for remote folks
  • Company-provided hardware of your choice/configuration
  • A Strong Company Culture that Lives by Our Core Values - Love our Customers, Be Real, Give a Shit, Deliver Results, and Keep it Fun.
