Every day, Earners complete millions of trips in the Uber driver app across various gig types, including rideshare, food delivery, groceries, and more. The Earner team is responsible for the Earner app and the end-to-end experience for millions of drivers and couriers around the world—people who rely on Uber to support a range of financial goals. The Earner app is a super app for earning flexibly used by 9.5M earners globally on average 6 hours a day.
About the Role
Uber is looking for a Director of Product - Earner, India. You will lead a team that focuses on helping earners maximize the value of their time on the Uber Platform by helping them plan and strategize their time to improve their earnings. You will also work on solving complex challenges around Earnings and Benefits platforms and comprehension and work cross-functionally across many teams at Uber to power the Earnings and information experience charter for Uber. This is a high-impact role with lots of visibility. We're looking for an empathetic product leader with experience managing and developing large teams and building applications with engaging end-to-end user experiences
What You’ll Do
- Build a vision: Define a product vision and strategy for the team and identify both near and long-term initiatives to build the product roadmap.
- Align teams: Work closely with teams across Uber including Eng, Data Science, and Operations to align business and product strategy.
- Execute: Translate user needs and insights into product requirements by distilling user problems, writing hypotheses, and describing desired outcomes.
- Iterate: Distill insights from various quantitative and qualitative data sources such as performance dashboards, experimentation results, and user research. Then apply the findings back into the product development process and create alignment.
- Help earners succeed within the context of Uber’s marketplace ⇒ collaborate with Marketplace, Fares, and the broader Uber Earner team on strategy and execution.
- Managing a team of geographically dispersed PMs across Bangalore and Amsterdam. Leader will be expected to set strategy and be quite autonomous.
What You’ll Need
- 15+ years of experience in driving complex product initiatives and 8+ years experience in driving a nimble and impactful team of PMs.
- Demonstrated experience in building and shipping consumer and/or marketplace centric products at global scale and complexity with millions if not billions of real time and dynamic touch points.
- Proven ability to deliver top class customer experiences with deep understanding of UX best practices.
- Experience defining market and product requirements, working with engineering organizations to rapidly deliver high-impact capabilities to market.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling positioning / messaging strategy and present complex information clearly and succinctly.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements, features and drive management of product.
- High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision.
