The Director, Product Management and Services – Architectural Metals segment plays a critical leadership role in executing the Metals product strategy and managing the day-to-day product management discipline across the portfolio. This role partners closely with the Vice President to translate strategic direction into actionable plans, ensuring strong portfolio performance, lifecycle management, and alignment with customer needs. This role will manage portfolio responsibilities for Wausau and Linetec along with leading service offering across Architectural Metals. This Leader will drive product and service offering execution across multiple brands, support pricing and portfolio decisions, and ensure cross-functional alignment with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to deliver revenue growth and margin improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Product responsibilities for Linetec and Wausau.
Lead the development and execution of portfolio strategy through organized customer VOC activity.
Own end-to-end product lifecycle activities, including new product introductions, enhancements, SKU rationalization, positioning, and compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
Manage and report on product-level performance metrics including volume, margin and cost, in alignment with business goals and identify improvement opportunities.
Lead execution of product launches, ensuring cross-functional alignment and readiness.
Service offering for Apogee Architectural Metals (AAM)
Partner with Sales and Operations to identify, design, and launch new service offerings that support both existing and new products.
Build business cases and lead cross-functional prioritization of service initiatives within the AOP process, ensuring alignment with strategic and financial goals.
Define and execute GTM strategies for service offerings, in coordination with sales and operations teams.
Own pricing strategy and ongoing profitability optimization for service offerings across brands.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
5+ years of progressive experience in customer facing roles within building products or manufacturing.
Strong business acumen with ability to connect product decisions to financial outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive execution.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and translate customer needs to product or service offering
Customer-focused mindset with ability to translate insights into action.
Hybrid work schedule with expectation of 3-4 days/week in-office. Site engagement and frequent interaction with manufacturing. Approximately 25% travel across the U.S. and Canada. Salary range is $180-220k + annual bonus opportunity.
