Overview:
The Identity Solutions team leads the development and delivery of innovative products that help partners identify their customers and enable simple and secure digital experiences for consumers in payments and beyond.
A critical area within Identity Solutions is the Payment Verification team which develops global ecommerce identity risk insights and data sharing services to verify consumer identities, reduce payment fraud and increase conversion rates across the payments ecosystem, all leading to better customer experiences.
The team is seeking a Director of Product Development for digital payment risk assessment AI/ML models who will:
• Drive development and enhancement of new and existing identity risk AI/ML models that power risk assessment services for digital commerce, including network tokens and wallets in partnership with cross-functional teams, including data science, engineering, authentication product, regional partners and commercialization
• In partnership with product managers, translate market needs into AI model requirements and roadmaps to ensure the solutions the models power meet customer needs and contribute to growth of the Payment Verification business
• Work closely with Data Science partners to evaluate and prioritize new model features, technologies, and data sources based on customer insights, market opportunity, and business objectives
• Manage and progress development of modeling-related engineering work in partnership with engineering and data science partners
• Investigate and analyze model performance to identify performance gaps and areas of improvement.
• Define and monitor success metrics to ensure product effectiveness
• Ensure KPIs, product documentation, training, and other necessary components are completed as the models transition from development to operational phases
• Develop and drive the execution of go-to-market plans for model refinements and refreshes with commercialization and regional teams
All About You
• Demonstrable experience in product conceptualization, design, and commercialization and/or data science; Product Management, Data Science or related experience preferred
• Proven experience and in-depth knowledge of authentication, risk or fraud AI/ML model-based product management, e-commerce, payments fraud, and security technologies
• Understanding of payments, payment processing including relevant technology and vendor landscape
• Technical experience working with APIs, databases, and data-centric applications
• Demonstrated track record achieving business objectives and building business relationships within a large matrixed organization
• Experience translating internal and external customer feedback to product development
• Established business technical expertise in software-based product development
• Proven project management, organization, and thought leadership skills with ability to build, lead, and maintain strong, productive working relationships Comfortable with ambiguity and resilient when tackling challenges
• Ability to analyze complex issues and provide direction towards resolution
• An entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset with a bias for action
• Superior communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with successful track record of engaging at senior levels within an organization and with customers; can effectively articulate product decisions to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree or MBA is helpful
