Job Description Summary:

The Director – Procurement Technology will serve within the broader procurement technology team, contributing to the vision, roadmap, and delivery of technology products supporting Procurement Strategic Groups, procurement execution at manufacturing plants, and supplier connectivity through collaboration platforms such as SAP Ariba. Working alongside other technology experts on the team, the candidate will roadmap desired system functionality with business partners and deliver scalable capabilities, holding architectural responsibility for the systems within their area of the technology stack and collaborating closely with other technical architects to transform comprehensive integrated solutions.

This role owns procurement planning products, including procurement master data and transactional data within SAP and SAP Ariba, and partners closely with Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, and Technology teams to translate sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and spend analytics needs into scalable technology capabilities. The candidate is responsible for evaluating new products and technologies and guiding the ongoing evolution of existing procurement systems, while also demonstrating experience identifying and delivering mobile solutions across a business and building strong cross-functional collaborations.

Based in Atlanta, this role acts as a primary point of contact and product engineer for clients across Coca-Cola's global supply chains, driving modernization, process automation, data transparency, and integration across the end-to-end procurement lifecycle while ensuring strong controls and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for Procurement Strategic Groups, plant-level procurement execution, and supplier collaboration platforms.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for business clients across Coca-Cola's global supply chains, translating procurement business strategy into a 2-4 year digital technology roadmap grounded in a deep understanding of stakeholder needs and business architecture (capability maps, value streams, roadmaps).

  • Own end-to-end procurement planning products, including procurement master data management and procurement transactional data processes within SAP and SAP Ariba.

  • Manage supplier collaboration and connection capabilities via SAP Ariba, ensuring effective execution confirmations and ongoing collaboration between Coca-Cola and its supplier base.

  • Partner with Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, and Technology teams to translate sourcing, contracting, supplier management, and spend analytics needs into scalable technology capabilities.

  • Identify and define strategic capabilities, technical architectures, and design patterns needed to implement procurement technology roadmaps; translate strategic initiatives into delivery-focused release plans.

  • Understand business needs and produce design artifacts, including business requirements, system and sub-system designs, and detailed technical architecture for SAP and SAP Ariba procurement solutions, along with solution alternatives, schedule and cost estimates, proposals, and SOWs.

  • Lead vendor assessments, security reviews, and compliance audits for procurement technology products and services, ensuring compatibility and integration within the broader Global IT ecosystem; research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies and manage vendor relationships.

  • Clearly define objectives, coordinate with vendors, and lead execution of Proof of Concepts (POCs) and test-and-learn pilots to investigate issues, accelerate learning, confirm feasibility of new procurement technology capabilities, and transition successful pilots into repeatable, usable frameworks.

  • Work collaboratively with Global IT partners (regional IT organizations, GBS, and vendors) to deliver procurement technology solutions on time and within budget.

  • Lead and facilitate business process modeling sessions to develop, assess, streamline, redesign, and optimize procurement processes and workflows across plants and supply chains.

  • Create and deliver presentations to senior leadership in support of procurement technology strategy, investments, and initiatives.

  • Partner with data and analytics teams to leverage Azure-based data lake capabilities supporting procurement reporting and automation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement business process and procurement IT solutions, including product ownership or product management of enterprise technology products.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP (S/4HANA MM or ECC) and SAP Ariba is required, including procurement master data and transactional data processes.

  • Demonstrated experience with supplier collaboration platforms and execution/confirmation processes.

  • Experience with iterative software delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and managing product backlogs and roadmaps.

  • Experience leading vendor assessments, security reviews, and compliance audits.

  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure platform, including Azure Data Lake, is a nice to have, supporting procurement reporting and automation.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to serve as a primary point of contact for global, cross-functional clients.

  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technology solutions and produce detailed technical architecture and design artifacts.

  • Experience operating within a global matrix organization, collaborating across multiple geographies and supply chains.
