- Set the strategy and own execution across the full procure-to-pay lifecycle, from procurement intake and vendor sourcing through contracting, invoicing, and payment
- Build Fetch’s procurement function from the ground up, including policy, purchasing approval frameworks, vendor risk and onboarding processes, category sourcing strategy, and the broader operating model needed to support the company at scale
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executives and business leaders by evaluating vendor agreements and business proposals, framing financial and operational tradeoffs, and making clear recommendations
- Lead and grow our Accounts Payable and Travel & Expense teams, ensuring both scale smoothly while establishing clear expectations, service levels, and performance accountability
- Select and implement the systems needed to support Procurement and close gaps in our current P2P technology stack, including opportunities to use AI and automation to improve decision-making and reduce manual work
- Lead complex, high-value vendor negotiations, represent Fetch in strategic commercial discussions, and drive measurable savings across major spend categories
- Establish a measurable savings agenda and take direct accountability for delivering, validating, and reporting cost savings and cost avoidance
- Partner with Legal, Financial Systems, InfoSec, and Accounting on contract terms, controls, risk management, and audit readiness
- Influence stakeholders across the business, resolve competing priorities, and introduce greater structure without unnecessarily slowing the organization
- Remain actively involved in sourcing, negotiations, process design, and problem-solving rather than relying on a large team to execute the work
- Define and track the metrics that matter across the full P2P chain—including cycle time, compliance, savings, supplier performance, and payment accuracy—and use those insights to hold the function accountable for results
- 12+ years of progressive experience across Procurement, AP, and/or T&E, with a track record of building or significantly scaling a procurement function, not just running one that is already in place
- Demonstrated progression into Director- or Senior Director-level scope, including at least one role with ownership of a complex, enterprise-impacting function
- People-management experience, ideally leading AP and/or T&E teams, with examples of establishing expectations, managing performance, and building accountability
- Strong systems fluency with modern P2P, ERP, purchasing, expense-management, or contract-lifecycle tools, including experience evaluating, selecting, or implementing technology
- A track record of negotiating large or complex vendor contracts and driving measurable, validated savings
- Demonstrated ability to advise executives, frame tradeoffs, make clear recommendations, and influence decisions without relying solely on positional authority
- Experience setting strategy while remaining personally involved in execution, particularly in a lean or evolving organization
- Comfort working in ambiguity, navigating changing priorities, and building processes where little exists today
- Excellent cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to balance speed, cost, risk, and compliance
- Strong executive-level communication and the ability to represent Fetch effectively with senior internal stakeholders and external vendor leaders
- Experience standing up a procurement function in a high-growth or early-stage environment
- Experience working across organizations at different stages of maturity, such as both high-growth/startup and large-scale or public-company environments
- Experience incorporating AI, automation, or advanced analytics into procurement or P2P workflows
- Experience supporting technology, SaaS, marketing, or other complex indirect-spend categories
