  • Partner with the SIE Global Privacy Team to maintain and scale the SIE global privacy program
  • Partner closely with SIE cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Information Security, IT, and Marketing), internal partners, and legal specialists to solve exciting privacy and data issues while providing exceptional entertainment experiences to our customers
  • Lead SIE’s response to new and evolving data protection and privacy laws, developments, breach notification laws and frameworks as well as other laws that impact the processing of personal information in the United States and provide practical and strategic advice to the business
  • Lead on the design, development and implementation of data privacy policies, standards and processes in support of SIE business operations in Americas region
  • Provide creative advice to balance the importance of protecting consumer privacy while enabling businesses to collect data and use it for strategic purposes

What we are looking for:

  • At least 15 years of proven experience in managing US domestic and global privacy and related data protection compliance issues with a mix of private practice and in-house experience, including in a supervisory or managerial role
  • CA bar membership preferred. At a minimum, the candidate must be qualified for and quickly acquire a Registered In-House Counsel status in California and the willingness to maintain that status during employment
  • Experience creating and implementing privacy and related international and domestic data protection policies and compliance efforts and maintaining an agile privacy compliance program that responsibly uses and protects consumer, customer, and employee data

  • The ability to communicate sophisticated legal, technical and business concepts and requirements to non-legal professionals and interact with clients at all levels of the organization, including senior management
  • Privacy certifications preferred (CIPP/US, CIPP/E)

As you will be working closely with global and local teams, international travel and calls involving late and early hours due to time zone differences may be required.
