Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, data science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in pricing strategy, advanced pricing science, or commercial analytics, with a proven record of driving margin growth, unit growth, and competitive positioning.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and scaling pricing models, including elasticity, list price optimization, and competitive price index frameworks.
  • Cross-functional business liaison
  • Relationship building

  • Extensive experience in Data Science and Analytics

Job Summary

Lead enterprise pricing science strategy to optimize revenue growth, profitability, and market competitiveness. Translate scientific pricing insights into actionable strategies that support sustainable business growth and enterprise-wide pricing objectives.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Leads enterprise pricing science strategy, including elasticity, competitive price index (CPI), and list price optimization frameworks, to deliver measurable improvements in margin, unit growth, and competitive positioning.
  • Oversees the development, scaling, and integration of advanced pricing models and analytics into enterprise pricing processes.
  • Develops and maintains list price structures, category discount strategies, and customer profitability initiatives, ensuring alignment with market and margin objectives.
  • Builds and operationalizes CPI tracking, list price optimization, and closed-loop elasticity measurement frameworks to enable data-driven decisions.
  • Utilizes advanced analytics and business intelligence approaches to monitor pricing performance and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Leads a high-performing pricing science team of data scientists, analysts, and managers to execute enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Provides executive-level insights and recommendations to influence business decisions, collaborating with Merchandising, Finance, and Sales.
     

Nature and Scope

  • Problems are typically defined by higher level leadership. Problems are difficult. Solutions require analysis and investigation.
  • Decides how to achieve planned results within an organization's plans, policies, and guidelines. May set or change plans/goals within respective department or area.
  • May manage department via multiple layers of managers OR directly supervise a staff of professional individual contributors at the senior or technical advisor level.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 9+ years of experience in a related field, including several years in a management/supervisory capacity.
