The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000 annually. This position is also eligible for a bonus of 12%. We also offer a phone allowance, monthly auto allowance of $600.00 and a comprehensive benefits package of medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, 401k with company match, employee purchase program and paid time off. If you are hired at Winebow, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
This position may be based anywhere in the state of California.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plan time and activities to ensure achievement of company and supplier established goals and sales.
- Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
- Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
- Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
- Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for each fiscal period.
- Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis including new items and categories.
- Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.
- Arrives to work, meetings, appointments and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
- Responsible for staffing, staff planning, conducting performance appraisals on direct reports, budgeting, ensuring compliance with training requirements, developing direct reports and controlling expenditures.
- Meets agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner.
- Work collaboratively with Sales and other key business partners.
- Participates in wine education programs.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all applicable and federal, state, and local regulations in all locations. Ensure satisfactory record keeping by maintaining adequate documentation and filing.
- Follows all safety policies and procedures; communicate hazards and/or suggest improvements to Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Significant travel by automobile; travel by airplane/train and overnight stays may be required.
EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY USED:
Automobile, telephone, copier, computer (or tablet), fax machine, calculator
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lifting up to 45lbs, bending, sitting, carrying, standing, manual dexterity, reaching, visual acuity, driving
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of wine sales experience; spirits sales experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.
- Strong planning, prioritizing and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in the organization
- Comfortable with Web-based tools
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing teams.
- Valid Driver’s License
