We are seeking a highly structured, execution-driven PMO & Operations Director to lead the operational backbone of our Professional Services organization. This role oversees both the Project Management Office (PMO) and the Operations function (resourcing, governance, reporting), ensuring that projects are delivered with excellence, at target margins, and with consistent visibility for leadership.
The Director will also own partnership management for Professional Services — including relationships with our technology partners and our network of subcontractors — to ensure smooth collaboration, capacity coverage, and joint delivery success.
This is a high-impact role, combining strategic oversight with hands-on operational leadership, and is a unique opportunity to shape how we deliver at scale.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership to both PMO (via the Head of PMO) and Operations, ensuring alignment and efficiency.
- Own project portfolio governance and reporting, ensuring visibility, prioritization, and escalation across all PS engagements.
- Drive financial performance, with a direct KPI on project-level gross margin (GM) and portfolio health.
- Oversee resource management, utilization reporting, and capacity planning across the PS organization.
- Manage partner relationships:
- Technology partners to align on delivery excellence and joint customer success.
- Subcontractors and delivery partners, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and contractual alignment.
- Partner with Sales and Presales to ensure smooth handovers into delivery.
- Define and track delivery KPIs (timeliness, margin, NPS, utilization).
- Support risk management and proactive issue resolution across engagements.
- Continuously improve delivery methodologies, tools, and reporting for scalability and efficiency.
- Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in professional services, consulting, or technology delivery, with exposure to project/program management or operations leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage senior stakeholders, even without a large hierarchical org.
- Solid understanding of project financials and comfort owning gross margin or P&L-level KPIs.
- Experience collaborating with partners (technology providers or subcontractors) and managing delivery quality.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; natural ability to bring structure and clarity in complex situations.
- Comfortable balancing strategic oversight with hands-on execution — willing to get into details when needed.
- Prior experience running a PMO or Ops function, even at a smaller scale.
- Background in cloud / data / AI professional services.
- Track record of scaling processes or governance in a growing services organization.
- Lead the backbone of our Professional Services delivery and operations.
- Own strategic partnerships with both technology providers and delivery subcontractors.
- Work closely with senior leadership to drive growth, excellence, and customer success.
