Your Impact

As the Director of Organ Recovery, you will provide leadership and oversight for all clinical aspects of organ recovery operations. You'll guide a talented team of professionals while ensuring excellence in donor evaluation, donor management, organ recovery, preservation, and transplantation coordination.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Organ Recovery staff to achieve operational excellence
  • Drive strategies that increase organ recovery and transplantation opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with UNOS, CMS, and other applicable regulatory requirements
  • Serve as a clinical expert and resource for donor management, organ recovery, and organ preservation
  • Partner with physicians, transplant centers, and hospital stakeholders to promote best practices
  • Oversee departmental budgeting, staffing, training, and competency programs
  • Support innovation in organ preservation technologies and emerging recovery practices
  • Monitor and report key performance metrics to organizational leadership and advisory committees
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration
Qualifications

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a health-related field, or equivalent RN experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of combined organ recovery and/or transplant experience
  • Strong knowledge of organ procurement, donor management, and organ preservation
  • Three to five years of progressive healthcare leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success leading teams, improving processes, and driving operational results
  • CPTC certification or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills

Preferred

  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • Critical care and donor management experience
  • Experience with strategic planning and organizational leadership
  • Experience implementing process improvement initiatives in a healthcare environment
