We are looking for a highly driven and hands-on Director of Operations to lead and scale operational excellence for our Malaysia business. This role will act as a strategic partner to the Malaysia leadership team and support day-to-day execution, operational scalability, and cross-functional alignment.

The role will oversee core operational functions including Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehousing, Reverse Logistics / RMA Operations, and broader operational process management. Over time, the scope may expand into areas such as Air Conditioning Operations, Business Excellence, and Customer Experience.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments and is equally comfortable solving strategic challenges while diving deep into operational execution.

Responsibilities:

Operations Leadership

  • Lead and oversee Malaysia operational functions across warehousing, fulfilment, logistics, reverse logistics (RMA), and supply chain operations.
  • Drive operational scalability, efficiency, and process optimisation across all operational touchpoints.
  • Build operational frameworks, SOPs, reporting structures, and governance processes to support business growth.
  • Partner closely with regional and local stakeholders to align operational priorities with overall business objectives.

Supply Chain & Logistics

  • Manage end-to-end supply chain operations including inventory planning, inbound logistics, distribution, and vendor management.
  • Monitor and improve key operational KPIs such as inventory health, fulfilment SLA, delivery performance, return rates, and operational costs.
  • Identify risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies within the supply chain and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Work closely with 3PLs, warehouse operators, and logistics partners to ensure service quality and operational reliability.

RMA & Service Operations

  • Oversee reverse logistics and RMA operations to ensure timely resolution and positive customer outcomes.
  • Improve operational turnaround times, repair/replacement workflows, and escalation management processes.
  • Collaborate with customer experience and product teams to identify recurring operational or product-related issues.

Cross-Functional Business Operations

  • Support leadership in operational planning, business reviews, and strategic initiatives.
  • Drive data-backed decision making through reporting, dashboards, and operational analytics.
  • Lead or support operational transformation projects, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Build and mentor high-performing operations teams across multiple operational functions.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, or related fields.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, logistics, or business operations leadership roles.
  • Strong experience managing large-scale operational teams within fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Experience in e-commerce, retail, consumer electronics, FMCG, or direct-to-consumer businesses is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven mindset.
  • Proven track record of improving operational efficiency, scalability, and execution standards.
  • Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically in ambiguous or rapidly evolving environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Experience managing external vendors, logistics providers, and operational partners.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, or related fields
  • 8-12+ years of experience in related operations leadership roles
  • Strong experience managing large-scale operational teams
  • Experience in e-commerce, retail, consumer electronics, FMCG, or D2C businesses
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proven track record of improving operational efficiency
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
