Job Description Summary:
This position is responsible for the planning, organization and management of operations and support services at the business unit. The Director of Operations and Support services will provide strategic and operational leadership to designated departments, clinical and non-clinical, and work in conjunction with various ancillary and support departments to ensure a seamless communication and workflow processes.Responsibilities And Duties:
Operations – 50%Plans, organizes, leads, and directs all aspects of operations in departments within Director’s scope.
Works with department leaders on budget development, revenue generation and expense control to assure financial objectives are met.
Ensures optimization of departmental operations to include staffing models, regulatory compliance and outcomes tracking.
Builds working relationships with leaders of support services located in the business unit as well system leadership to ensure goals and needs of the business unit are met.
Participates in setting and supporting business unit strategic plans. Develops departmental goals that support business unit goals and growth strategies.
Develops direct report leaders and associates for future personal and departmental growth.
Supports a positive culture and encourages engagement through building trust, respect and empowerment of leaders and associates.
Service Excellence – 30%
Promotes and drives service excellence in responsible departments and shared services departments in the business unit.
Monitors service activity to meet the needs of customers i.e., patients, medical staff, and other partnering departments.
Project Management – 20%
Oversees the strategic execution of service line and routine capital projects.
Leads coordination of project work within the business unit. Oversees project activities including project planning, scope/definition, resource management and cross-functional coordination. Drives project progress, status reporting, meeting facilitation, communication, issue resolution scheduling and budget tracking.
Partners with cross-functional teams to gather and prioritize projects that drive throughput and efficiency.
Influence decision making across multiple leadership levels to gain cross-functional alignment to achieve on-time execution for projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
