Job Description

General Summary:


The purpose of this position is to drive “department” performance to ensure customer satisfaction and the achievement of PAC business goals. This includes managing all aspects of production, supply chain operations, production scheduling and maintenance, ensuring seamless coordination to meet production goals, maintain quality standards, and optimize efficiency. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Essential Duties: The following is a list of the general duties performed in this position. It is not meant to be an exhaustive list.


  1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company goals and objectives. Lead initiatives to enhance productions efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall plant performance.
  2. Production Management: Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, including production scheduling, planning, and process optimization. Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  3. Supply Chain Management: Manage the supply chain function, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  4. Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  5. Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Implementing KPIs and metrics to monitor operational performance. Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
  6. Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain productions schedules to ensure efficient utilization of resources and timely delivery of products. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align productions schedules with customer demands and business priorities.
  7. Maintenance: Assist in managing department maintenance tasks in conjunction with the Maintenance Department to minimize unscheduled downtime and maximize utilization of planned downtime.
  8. Health, Safety, and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of workplace safety. Implement best practices for health, safety, and environmental sustainability.
  9. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (i.e. Engineering, Quality, Finance, HR, Sales) to ensure alignment and effective communication across the organization.
  10. Comply with all PAC policy.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience of 5-10 years in operations management within aerospace manufacturing or similar industry, with a strong understanding of CNC Machining, production processes, scheduling, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a diverse team.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to driver operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong bias towards action and ability to effectively manage change.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Experience in budgeting and/or P&L Management.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows and MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Physical Requirements:

  1. Primary work environment is throughout the production plan and office.
  2. Vision to AS 9100 standards.
  3. Lift, push and/or pull 50 pounds.
  4. Stand at least 95% of the scheduled shift.
  5. Occasionally required to perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, twisting, bending and grasping in order to move and set tools, equipment and material.
