We are looking for a Director of Operations to join the team at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO.

Job Summary
The Director of Operations is responsible for the on-site planning and execution of INSPIRE events, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality service delivery. This role includes testing, training, and developing our operations team while serving as a strategic point of contact for both operations and sales teams. The Director of Operations collaborates with the Director of Event Technology and the Director of Sales on fiscal responsibility, operational risk management, and resource allocation.

THE ROLE OF DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS WILL PAY $85,000-95,000.

Summary of Essential Job Functions
Event Management
• Review event proposals with Sales Managers or the Director of Sales for technical accuracy.
• Coordinate equipment support for all onsite events and collaborate with other INSPIRE venues.
• Partner with the labor coordinator to ensure appropriate staffing for shows, technical jobs, and daily deliveries while considering fiscal responsibility.

Inventory and Equipment Management
• Manage inventory, including data entry, adjustments, and order review.
• Ensure quality control and protection of all equipment.
• Determine equipment shortages and recommend substitutions.
• Oversee annual CAPEX requirements and spending in collaboration with the Director of Event Technology.
• Review and approve purchase orders.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse, working areas, and company vehicles.

Team Leadership and Development
• Lead, motivate, and provide daily guidance to the INSPIRE operations team.
• Conduct annual employee reviews and ongoing performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Work closely with Sales Managers, Production Leads, and Technicians to ensure smooth operations.
• Foster a service-oriented and team-centric work environment.

Operational Management
• Manage all aspects of operations in conjunction with the Director of Event Technology.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and operational procedures.
• Anticipate and respond to changing priorities and needs.
• Handle other tasks as assigned by the Director of Event Technology.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience
• 7+ years of experience managing and leading operational teams within the audio-visual industry.
• Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• High school diploma required.
• Strong knowledge of and experience in event production and organization.
• Experience with inventory systems.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Capability to work long hours and holidays as required.
