SAIC is seeking a Director of Operations for a large program supporting Veterans. The operations manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operational execution of services across all awarded geographic regions. This role will manage scheduling efficiency, employee coordination, facility compliance, and service delivery performance.
This position is remote and can be worked anywhere within the United States.
Initially this position will require up to 50% travel as dictated by the program.
It is likely that this role will transition to a hybrid remote position and require less travel as things progress.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the end-to-end scheduling process across assigned regions.
- Identify and resolve scheduling bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and service disruptions in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with the Training Director to ensure all staff have completed required training and have obtained certifications prior to beginning work.
- Monitor employee performance and availability
- Coordinate facility site visits, inspections, and compliance reviews on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis.
- Ensure timely resolution of facility-related issues, including maintenance, equipment, and accessibility concerns.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendor partners to ensure alignment with program standards, scheduling requirements, and performance expectations.
- Proactively identify operational risks and issues that may impact service delivery, quality, or compliance.
- Support the development and maintenance of business continuity and emergency response plans for assigned regions.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and 18 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree and 16 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in operations management, preferably within a healthcare, federal government contracting, or large-scale service delivery environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-site operations with diverse teams, high-volume workloads, and demanding performance standards.
- Experience managing large-scale scheduling, logistics, or service coordination functions, including the use of scheduling or case management systems.
- Proven track record of monitoring operational KPIs, identifying performance gaps, and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively coordinate across.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with VA, DoD, or other federal healthcare programs and associated compliance requirements.
