The Director, Operations Technology, drives operational excellence through the strategic

deployment of technology across Monogram’s manufacturing network. This leader will analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and lead the implementation of data-driven solutions that enhance throughput, quality, and resource utilization. The position requires close collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Continuous Improvement (CI), IT, Maintenance, and Integrated Work Systems (IWS) teams to ensure technology solutions support key performance indicators (KPIs), root cause analysis, and a strong Daily Management System (DMS) culture on the plant floor.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify operational variances and deficiencies across facilities.
  • Determine data needs to address process gaps and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Continuous Improvement (CI) teams to implement the best practices.
  • Work with Engineering to acquire necessary data through sensors, PLCs, and automation systems
  • Ensure alignment with IT and Engineering for data infrastructure and security
  • Support the development and maintenance of Daily Management Systems (DMS) and Daily Direction Setting (DDS) activities.
  • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and CI teams to drive technological advancements.
  • Facilitate training and support for team members on new technologies and systems.
  • Lead projects from conception to implementation, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, adjusting strategies as needed.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; master’s preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years in operations technology, with at least 5 years in leadership role.
  • Proven experience in process analysis, data acquisition, and technology integration.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, preferably in the food industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.

  • Ability to travel up to 40% to Monogram plant locations for onsite support and project execution
  • Standing, walking, and movement through manufacturing environments required during site visits

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Frequent presence in production environments with exposure to noise, moving machinery, temperature
  • variations, and humidity

  • toe footwear required when on the plant floor

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Master's degree
  • At least 10 years of experience in operations technology
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience
  • Experience in process analysis, data acquisition, and technology integration
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, preferably in the food industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Integrated Work Systems principles
